Buses with WiFi has been launched in just a week in three routes namely: Kathmandu to Pokhara, Pokhara to Chitwan, Kathmandu to Chitwan & vice versa by Mountain Overland travel and tours.
Due to the passenger’s demand for the internet and the bus operators’ enthusiasm for adopting innovative technologies, the service came out true. Altogether six buses are equipped with the WiFi service using NTCs 256 Kbps unlimited WiMAX connection with the Outdoor ODU. Besides some no coverage zone on the highway, the internet connection works fine. The bus operators feel it would be better if they can provide seamless connections throughout. Some of such connected buses also provide local video service on your phone.
