Before Load-shedding may have been stopping people from watching TV at home. That was the time when you don’t have other means to watch TV. But as more people want to do everything on their mobile, people prefer watching live TV on their phone. It is also possible to use Ntc 3G or 4G internet or some app to watch TV on the go. Launched from quite a long time by Nepal Telecom (when 3G was available only inside Kathmandu ring road), the TV service avails some of the Nepali channels like NTV, NTV2, Avenues, and Sagarmatha TV.
The process to watch TV in Ntc 3G, 4G?
Here is the procedure for configuring your mobile handset for TV.
- Make sure you have already subscribed to 3G or you can subscribe by sending SMS 3G to 1415 or subscribe to 4G by dialing *444#. More on it here.
- Put your mobile to 3G or 4G mode in the network settings.
- Go to data settings inside the network and add an APN with the following settings.
- Apn: ntwap
- Proxy: 192.80.7.133
- Port: 8000
- Skip other fields
- Save the APN and make it the default one.
- Go to tv.ntc.net.np and browse some Nepali channels and click play online.
UPDATE: Now the ntwap settings do not work in Ntc, and so it the Ntc TV portal. Whereas you can watch TV online as below.
