Ntc (Nepal Telecom), the government owned telco has started ICT center in some schools. Ntc had already established ICT center in community schools of Earthquake affected areas. This time, they inaugurated ICT center in a secondary school of Bhaktapur. Issuing a press statement, Ntc also informs of their CSR initiative to help different hospitals across the country.
There are already 11 Ntc ICT centers established in the earthquake affected areas. Ntc is also in the final stage to complete the ICT center each in Lamjung, Dadheldhura, Udaypur, Jumla and Rukum districts.
Meanwhile in a program, Ntc MD Mrs. Kamini Rajbhandari inaugurates a ICT center in Shanti Niketan Secondary School. Ntc provides 5 computers, 5 web cameras, 5 headsets and 1 multipurpose printer to the ICT center. Ntc itself helped the school to establish the ICT center which also requires a data connection. For which, Ntc provides 1 WiMAX connection with WiFi router and ODU set, which contains 30 GB data per month for 2 years.
In the program, Ntc MD requests to make maximum use of Internet for education and teaching purpose. Ntc senior officials like CCO Pradip Raj Upadhyaya, Manager Pratibha Baidha, Manager Reena Dongol and other officials from Ntc & the school were also present in the event.
Ntc CSR initiative for Hospital
Committed in their 14th anniversary program, Ntc now helps different Hospitals as a part of their CSR initiative. They distributed 25 blankets to each regional hospital. Ntc also distributes 25 blankets to the fire affected people in Udayapur Gadi Village body and also to Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital.
