Nepal Telecom promotes high-speed 4G service by distributing free SIM cards. NTC 4G promotion is happening in major cities of all 7 provinces, from Birtamod in the east to Mahendranagar in the west.
NTC organized an event at Birtamode on Kartik 20 and at Birgunj on Kartik 22, Bharatpur on 24 with SIM distribution and 4G service promotion.
Similarly, Ntc held a 4G promotion event at Nepalgunj on 26, Surkhet on 28, Mahendranagar on 30. They distributed the free 4G SIM card along with the musical program.
NTC has also planned to organize the event at Pokhara’s Amar Singh Maidan on Mangsir 4. They will distribute the 4G SIM or upgrade the old SIM with a 200 MB free data offer.
If you dial *444#, you can get the information on whether you need to change your SIM card or not. If you need to change your SIM card, you can do it for free by visiting the Ntc office or the event.
In order to benefit from such a promotional offer, you need to carry a Government distributed ID card like Nagarikta, Voters ID or driving License. You also need to provide a photo of yours to get the SIM card.
Partnering with Grishma Broadcasting, Ntc had also held a musical program called Saptranga-2 in the event in the presence of popular artists like Rajesh Hamal, Jitu Nepal, Sugam Pokharel, Himal Sagar, Melina Rai, Prakash Saput, Ravi Oad and more.
As Nepal Telecom extended 4G coverage to more locations beyond the 60 cities, the 4G has become quite popular among the people.

4G activation offer
To use 4G service, you need to have a 4G compatible SIM and handset. If you do not have a 4G compatible SIM, then you can get a new SIM card on that same number, without any charge.
If you are registering your SIM for 4G for the first time, then you will get a data bonus of 200 MB that you can use for 2 days.
As per the 4G deal done last year’s Magh, Ntc will expand 4G to all parts of the country within a year. We can expect them to do more promotion of 4G as the coverage expands.
