Nepal Telecom has launched the 4G mobile network in one of the most popular tourist destinations in Nepal: Rara Lake. As the Visit Nepal 2020 is approaching near, Ntc starts operating 4G in the Rara lake from Mangsir 19, 2076 which will also help to promote the campaign.
Nepal Telecom is currently expanding its 4G network throughout the country. With an ambitious plan to cover every nook and corner, Nepal Telecom has begun launching the 4G network in far-flung remote areas.
As per the recent information, Ntc has launched its 4G network in more than 500 locations in all 7 provinces. Earlier Ntc had made a soft launch of its 4G network in the presence of Prime Minister KP Oli himself. That time, Ntc coverage was available in 60 cities of 37 districts. Now the number of districts with 4G coverage has increased to 50.
NTC installed a new 4G base station in the area which covers the entire Rara lake for now. As known, they will add more base stations in the area in the coming days. This will benefit the tourists visiting the location to access the high-speed network for their internet requirements.
Speed of Ntc 4G in Rara
According to Er. Bhojraj Kafle, the 4G speed in the area comes at 20 Mbps downlink/uplink. Here is a snapshot of the 4G speed from the location. Thanks to him for providing the photo and the speed test result.
The 4G network will also help the people in the area not only for regular communication but also for enhancing their economic condition.
Nepal Telecom had used the existing infrastructure that was there in the high altitude location for the 2G, 3G network. Nepal Telecom has its infrastructure in many remote areas, so they can use the same resources to provide 4G network easily. We have mentioned the same thing a few years back when they launched their 3G network in Rara.
With this advantage, we can expect Ntc to expand its 4G network in such areas despite the remoteness.
If you know any of your friends in the area, do spread this news to them. If anyone going to visit Rara recently, you can ask them to make their SIM compatible with 4G. Read more about how to subscribe 4G in Ntc and also get some offers.
