Nepal Government has launched it’s first governmental e-learning portal that appears as an open library for the Nepalese students. The name of the online learning portal is Sikai Chautari, which translates to a learning hub.

The lockdown at that crucial time of the year when the educational institution and students would have been busy their exams, has caused a negative impact on the whole education system of Nepal. College exams, as well as new school sessions, are on a halt.

Nepal government hasn’t yet decided when the school re-opens and when the universities will be taking college exams but the government of Nepal quickly took a step on providing education to the school going students by opting for the digital platform.

Sikayi Chautari learning portal contains a curriculum from Grade 1 to Grade 10. It is accessible by anyone located at any corner of Nepal. The portal is available in both English and Nepali languages.

The e-learning portal, being available in both English and Nepali language is impressive. It helps the students to increase their knowledge and vocabulary in those languages. The stories in both reading and listening form in this e-learning portal are engaging and knowledge enhancing. It reduces the chances of children getting bored. We can expect them to include other education level content in near future.

The effort the Nepal Government has put on making this portal effective is praiseworthy. And the dream of making everything Digital or the Digital Nepal concept could be realized soon.
