Huawei organised the APAC Enterprise Digitalization Summit, online on Thursday under the theme of “Digital Transformation Leading to Adaptive Enterprises.” This Summit duly focused on the adaptive enterprises in Post pandemic world. This summit had Industry pioneers and leaders from the Asia Pacific. Here, they discussed how innovative ICT technologies such as 5G, cloud and AI can help enterprises accelerate digital transformation and better adapt to changes in the post-COVID-19 world.
The current pandemic has led industrial digitization to enter a new phase of explosive development. This showcases strong resilience and great potential for growth of the ICT industry. With such great endorsement, future-oriented elastic ICT architecture can help enterprises quickly cope with the impact of the Black Swan events and promptly change business models.

Sandra Ng the group Vice President of International Data Corporation (IDC), at the summit said “Critical infrastructure including digital/IT and network infrastructure is highlighted as one of the CEOs’ new business agenda items as organizations accelerate their recovery journey and prepare themselves to compete in the next normal,”

Moreover, she added that to ensure a smooth course of this transformation, enterprises must stay resilient and adaptive to the technological challenges. Adding on, she also introduced a new business agenda for top management of companies in the region. She furthermore specified, the need to build reliable IT infrastructure, reassessment on customer experience, and the capabilities to work with new technologies and intelligence.
As from the IDC Worldwide Semiannual Digital Transformation Spending Guide, states that, in 2019, a total of US$380 billion has been consumed on technologies and services. These services focus on promoting the digital transformation of business practices, products, and organizations in the Asia Pacific region alone. It is also highly possible that the investment would further increase with an annual growth of 17.4% by 2022.
Drawing Digital to Every Campus for Pervasive Intelligence
Like we know, the current situation, which is also the new normal, has shelled in a lot of changes. That is why many of the enterprises, are currently exploring the best suitable technologies and architecture in their digital transformation journey. Similarly, 5G and IoT are also one of the rapidly developing enterprises in ICT infrastructure which has been in high use due to these transformations.
So, stepping in as one of the leaders in the 5G department, Huawei also shared its view on building a fully convergent campus network. This network will comprise of IP, Optical and 5G network access holistically. Moreover, it will also address different business requirements in the enterprise transformation journey.
Here, Brandon Wu, CTO of Huawei EBG Asia Pacific suggested that the enterprises choose the best network options that will meet their deployment needs in all kind of scenarios to enable the use cases.
Furthermore, WK Leung, CTO of Huawei Enterprise Business Group, also shared his opinion by stating that the converged network is one of the fundamentals in order to support digital transformation. Furthermore, he added by saying, a typical organization like ICT, consists of two major building blocks i.e data centre and campus.
So, foreseeing these building blocks Huawei intelligent campus strategy, has prioritized converged network and vertical layer decoupling. It is an intelligent unified network, especially under 5G, which can apply to many customers in the world from different vertical industries.
Insights on 5G+AI+Cloud Accelerating APAC Digital Transformation
Adding on, the pandemic outbreak has also expedited the enterprises’ cloud transformation. Due to which, Hybrid cloud, in particular, is gaining importance in streamlining the procedure. It has also been proving agile response during the process.

Summing up, it is of no surprise that digital transformation will lead to the convergence of 5G, cloud, and AI technologies. This will make a very alluring transformation in the tech field which is forever evolving.
