Quantum Hack successfully conducted the first digital fair and the largest international digital hackathon on August 28th and August 29th, 2020. This is by far the biggest and the most exciting international hackathon of all time. It was also organized by Nepali students here in Nepal.
The Hackathon was officially organized by NxtGen under the membership of Devfolio, which is the largest and fastest-growing community of builders in India. Moreover, NxtGen is a Non-profit organization of Pulchowk Campus.
This 36 hours long grand Hackathon had more than 2500 interested registered participants with more than 400 videos submitted for review. Also, it had 43 Project submission and all of them were very intriguing as well.
Also, the major highlight of the event was having Mr. Steve Wozniak, Cofounder of Apple as a Special Guest where he shared his experience and encouraged participants and attendees with amazing life lessons. Not just that, Mr. Joe Sepi from IBM was a keynote speaker and the representatives and judges from Apple, Microsoft, AWS, NASA, UN, and Google were present in this event.

From Steve Wozniak to celebrity guests and performers, this event also had games and other fun sessions. The hackathon was basically supplemented by various other sessions. It had hunts, game tournaments, special performances from amazing singers, and much more. The event was hosted online and it was streamed throughout the internet from NxtGen’s Facebook and YouTube Page.
This mega event consisted of 70+ teams formed by more than 240 participants from all over the world. The participants had showcased the project to build technologies and applications to combat modern problems in the following six areas:
- Disaster Management and Preparedness: Ready For The Next Disaster
- Fintech: Modern Financial Services For Everyone
- Education: Improving Upon Traditional Methods
- Health and Urban Population Management: Impacting Life and Death
- Entertainment: The Promising Industry
- Open: Stretch Your Imaginations
There were category winners as well as the overall winner for the competition. The participants had worked really hard and came up with amazing ideas and technology projects for this event. They had gained quite a hype for their exceptional creativity as well. Adding up, they were mentored and guided by the best possible professionals.

During the event, the main competition was supplemented by various workshops, games, and fun sessions. It also had special performances from Elizaveta Khripounova from Japan (Singer), Ishan R. Onta (Singer), Raj Shamani from India (Entrepreneur), and Yojana Thapa Magar (Comedian ).
