The World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA) awarded WorldLink the merit award in the ‘Digital Opportunity/ Inclusion Award’ category. The recognition of an international award is a matter of glory for the leading ISP, Worldlink.

About WITSA Global ICT Excellence Awards
WITSA stands for World Information Technology and Services Alliance. WITSA is a global consortium that represents over 90% of the world ICT market. In 20 years, for the first time, WITSA held a Virtual Global ICT Excellence Awards in collaboration with the 2020 TECHFEST Live! x Road to WCIT Malaysia hybrid event. It was a live event organized by the National ICT Association of Malaysia (PIKOM) that took place from November 18 to 20.
The members of WITSA range from over 80 countries. Australia, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Malaysia, South Africa, Nigeria, Argentina, and Canada, to name a few. WITSA provides a common platform for its members to explore the ICT landscape, identify the loopholes and strategies. Similarly, they help to interchange valuable information, and flourish opportunities in the ICT industry.
“Never before in WITSA’s 20 years of hosting the Global ICT Excellence Awards have we had the honor of reviewing as many well-qualified, unique and remarkable award submissions”, said WITSA Chairman Yvonne Chiu.
The event included three new categories related to COVID-19. So, altogether there were nine different categories. Experts from the national and regional WITSA ICT industry associations chose the nominees. The candidates, that has brought a valuable difference in society with an impactful and innovative service, were handed the awards in various categories. WorldLink on their achievement
WorldLink has brought several innovative services to Nepal. It is also the first IT company to introduce Linux commercially in Nepal, followed by 10Mbps cable Internet service, Fiber-To-The-Home (FTTH) broadband, SafeNet, Free Public wifi service in collaboration with Facebook. WorldLink is the third-largest IT company in Nepal and provides service in 73 districts of Nepal.
