Nepal Telecom has planned to provide a fiber internet speed of 160 Mbps and higher. This will be for the first time in Nepal for any ISP to cross internet speed above 60 Mbps. Nepal Telecom announced its plan to upgrade the fiber internet speed while addressing a program in the capital.
The maximum speed that Nepal Telecom is currently providing with their FTTH fiber internet is 60Mbps. Similarly, other ISPs are also having the same peak speed for fiber internet to individuals.
As per the information, Nepal Telecom will be upgrading the technology used in the FTTH service along with the enhancement of bandwidth in several nodes across the country, before launching the enhanced speed of 160 Mbps. Check out: Ntc Fiber Net packs and Speed
Ntc FTTH users cross 2 lakhs
Meanwhile, in separate news, Nepal Telecom’s FTTH subscription has crossed 2 lakhs. As Ntc has expanded its Fiber internet service to 45 districts, its users have surged rapidly. Similarly, people have largely praised the internet service, despite few glitches on the ping delay.
At first, the telco provided voice and high-speed internet service, which is the most favored subscription to many users. Similarly, customers can also subscribe to the internet service only through the fiber cable. Lately, they have introduced the television service through the moniker NTTV. Till now, the television service is available in Kathmandu only in the first phase, which is known to expand to all areas after testing.
