Ntc network has been restored in Province no 1 after the entire region suffered an outage recently. The company quickly mobilized a team and got its network up and running after its mobile network and fiber service were down in the eastern parts of Nepal.
The province-wide network outage in Province no. 1 was caused due to the fiber breakage in Lahan which occurred due to construction works. The fiber issue caused disruption in the company’s mobile (3G/4G) and internet services. The service has, however, come back online after fiber splicing.
As per the reports, Nepal Telecom’s network outage occurred after road construction led to a cut in fiber cables. The network disruption was felt across the province. But with the restoration, both mobile internet and fiber services have started functioning.
“Fiber breakage led to the service disruption, Ntc spokesman Shobhan Adhikari said after the company’s network went down, “Mobile internet and fiber services are completely down. Telephone lines are reportedly working with partial interruption.”
Soon after the issue, the operator sent its team to the spot where the fiber breakage occurred and restored the link with utmost priority.
Recently, Ncell also witnessed disruption in its network because of fiber breakage. In response, the private telco had requested concerned bodies to be cautious with telecom infrastructure.
Ntc’s network resumed shortly (around 1 hour) after the company’s quick response to avert a longer stretch of network blackout.
