Nepali Telecom (Ntc) has launched its 4G service in Jaidi Pahakot, Jaimini Municipality Ward no. 7. The fourth-generation cellular network has brought high-speed mobile broadband service for the first time in the area.
The state-backed operator started the service after erecting a 14-meter tall 4G mobile tower in Pahakot cooperating with the locals. The company says the tower is providing 2G and 4G services at the moment.
The service launch has helped the locals avoid their struggles with poor network reception on their devices. Now, they have access to advanced 4G broadband internet service, VoLTE and consistent 2G for voice.

Ntc brought Jaidi Pahakot and other areas in Jaimini into the 4G coverage
The tower setup has brought Jaidi, Chhisti, and Arjewa of Jaimini into Ntc’s ever-widening 4G coverage. It’s been one of the rarest areas where the traditional instrument bugle (katuwal in Nepali) is still used for communication. Likewise, those devices have had to move up the hills for mobile signals. Advanced 4G and 2G cellular services are now expected to transform people’s way of telecom in the coming days.
Keshav Sharma, the in-charge and senior engineer of Nepal Telecom Baglung said that after the service was started, locals have been privileged with quality voice and mobile data internet services. Prior to this, there was no mobile service in these areas. Due to the adverse geography, the signal could not be accessible from other towers either.
