Hamro Pay, the in-app digital wallet of Hamro Patro has introduced a voice notification feature (koili audio QR system) for the confirmation of QR payments. Launched in collaboration with Biz Craft, the sound box will buzz a cuckoo’s voice when a payment has been successfully transacted.
The audio notification will help iron out some of the conveniences associated with QR payment such as late confirmation reply, SMS confirmation, merchant’s phones not being within reach, etc. The sound box of Hamro Pay will address this undesirable situation which promotes the trust of both merchants and users in electronic payments.
Hamro Pay inaugurated its sound box QR payment notification feature on Wednesday, October 11 at Cooker Coffee in Kathmandu. The fast-growing mobile payment service has recently also launched an inter-bank fund transfer feature on its app.

How to apply for Hamro Pay Merchant QR?
Along with its audio sound feature, Hamro Pay has also shared how merchants can get their QR code. For this, interested merchants need only contact Hamro Patro and the service comes free of cost. However, a QR code with the cuckoo (Koili) voice (sound box) comes at a small cost. Merchants can get Hamro Pay sound boxe on either a monthly rental basis plan or buy them permanently.
Did you ever have to wait for a merchant to confirm your payment? The inconveniences could come in different forms and shapes, but it’s an unconvincing and unlikable aspect of mobile payments. However, audio confirmation services are coming into the market to address this off-putting shortcoming.
