Ncell has announced its relief package for the earthquake-affected districts that include Jajarkot, Rukum East, and Rukum West. The telco said that it will extend support of Rs 50 lakh to the Karnali Province government and free voice, SMS, and data as the country begins rescue efforts in the aftermath of the 6.4M tremors which shocked the country on Friday, November 03 at 11:47 PM.
Releasing a notice, Ncell announced its relief package to the Karnali Province as part of its immediate support. Likewise, the private operator has expressed heartfelt condolences to the victims of the earthquake and has extended its deepest sympathies to the bereaved families. Similarly, it has wished a speedy recovery for the injured. In its notice, the company said that it stands with the people of the earthquake-torn districts in these tragic times. Announcing its contribution, Ncell said that it will provide Rs 50 lakh to the provincial government of Karnali. The funds will be utilized for the rescue, treatment, and relief of the earthquake victims. Similarly, the telco will provide Rs services worth Rs 40 lakh in Earthquake Relief Resources. As per the telco, it will include national and international calls, SMS, and data. Customers can use these services in the earthquake-hit areas and stay connected with their family and friends. These resources will remain valid for 15 days.

Ncell says that its thoughts are with those involved in the rescue and relief efforts. In its notice, the telco wished for the earliest possible return to normal and recovery and restoration of the affected areas.
So far, the death toll has reached 157 (via Ratopati) as the rescue operation continues.
