Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has started providing a national WiFi roaming service that allows its Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) customers access to WiFi hotspots across the country reducing their data expenses.
Users can connect their smartphones, tablets, and other WiFi-supported devices to BSNL hotspots wherever they are available throughout India. The service is especially useful when users’ data packs are almost used up or exhausted. Thanks to the national WiFi roaming service by the country’s state-owned telco, users in both rural and urban areas can see great opportunities for connectivity.

Other milestone strides
Besides its national WiFi roaming, BSNL has made noticeable strides in recent times. The company has recently launched a Direct-to-Device (D2D) service powered by satellite connectivity which lets users send messages and even make calls without a mobile network. Likewise, it has also started IFTV service providing live TV streawming fia fiber. But besides these, it has also redesigned its logo and slogan which reflects the company’s reinvigorated confidence and attempt to revive its market presence.

The company was a ruler before Jio’s 4G revolution in India but has fallen adversely as it lacked investment and service expansion. In the recent past though, the company has worked tremendously to revive its state and is looking successful too. National WiFi roaming is another signifier of BSNL to mount a marquee comeback in the telco industry at the top.
