Ncell Foundation has started distributing educational kits as part of its ‘4 for 4s’ promise in the Nepal Premiere League (NPL) T20 tournament. Under this program, Ncell has provided 446 educational kits to students from three schools in Lumbini Province on Tuesday, March 18, 2025.
In November, 2024, Ncell announced that it would give away four educational kits to students for every boundary in the inaugural NPL competition. Ncell uses this campaign to promote community service and connect it with the excitement of cricket. According to the company, it will provide educational materials to students from government and community schools. It says that the initiative aims at making a meaningful impact on younger learners.
This effort from Ncell aligns with its commitment to promote sports in Nepal. The private telco regularly collaborates with sport teams, players, organizers to promote various games and sports in Nepal. The company promotes Nepali athletes and sports as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR).

As part of this initiative, Ncell’s CEO and MD Jabbor Kayumov, Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) Secretary Paras Khadka, Chairman of Lumbini Lions Ishwar GC, Ncell’s Interim Director for Marketing, Communications, and Sustainability Bishakha Lakshmi Khadka, along with other Ncell officials, distributed educational kits to 260 primary level students from two schools in Kapilvastu—Shree Rastriya Madhyamik Bidhyalaya and Madarsa Bahrul Uloom of Kapilvastu Municipality, Ward 10.
Similarly, Ncell’s Chief of Staff Stephen Rodriguez along with other Ncell officials handed over 186 educational kits to students from Shree Balakshanti Bidhyalaya of Rapti Sonari Rural Municipality, Ward-4, Banke.

“In line with our commitment, we are happy to support primary-level students with essential learning materials through Ncell Foundation. Quality education is a basic right of every child, and I believe this initiative will inspire students to pursue their academic aspirations while helping bridge the resource gap,” said Ncell’s CEO and MD, Jabbor Kayumov.

“This is a great initiative that links education with cricket and supports students in their learning under Ncell’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). I am very happy to be part of this educational kit distribution programme in Kapilvastu, spending time with the kids and sharing happiness,” said Paras Khadka, Secretary of CAN.
The educational kits include bags, notebooks, pencils, sharpeners, erasers, etc.

Ncell to distribute 2,612 educational kits for ‘4 for 4s’ in NPL
In total, Ncell will provide a total of 2,612 educational kits across the country in response to 653 boundaries hit in NPL 2024. The telco says that two schools in Kapilvastu approached Ncell Foundation after learning about the ‘4 for 4s’ initiative. Likewise, Shree Balakshanti Bidhyalaya also contacted the company for support via Ncell’s regional office.
“We are excited about the overwhelming response to this initiative. More educational kits will be provided to students in need from various parts of the country in collaboration with concerned stakeholders such as CAN, continuing our educational kit distribution drive,” said Bishakha Lakshmi Khadka, Interim Director of Marketing, Communications, and Sustainability at Ncell.
Ncell collaborated with NPL under its ‘Here for You’ theme and commitment to develop cricket and sports. Ncell Foundation conducts Ncell’s CSR activities these days. It will continue to promote community service through programs to address social needs.
