State-backed telecom company Nepal Telecom (NTC) has launched 4G service in Gurans Rural Municipality, Dailekh district on Baisakh 08, 2082. The modern service brings to the locals and visitors high-speed mobile data and VoLTE services.
In recent years, the company has focused on 4G expansion to more areas. Particularly in FY 2081/82, the company has expanded its 4G coverage to more rural and remote regions. In a similar vein, it has now brought 4G to Gurans Rural Municipality, a remote region in the Karnali province.

Nepal Telecom makes 4G available in Gurans, Dailekh
In Gurans, Ntc’s 4G coverage is available in areas of Gurans Rural Municipality wards no. 1, 2, and 3. These areas are Gurans Bajar, Rural Municipality Office area, Goganpani, Patikanla, etc. Likewise, Bayalkada in Birendranagar Municipality ward no. 14, and Lekgaun in Barahatal Rural Municipality ward no. 9 have also benefited from the newly-launched Ntc 4G service in these areas.
So far, locals have relied on older-generation technologies for communication. However, with the launch of 4G, they can use fast mobile data to browse the internet and connect with their family and friends online. Additionally, the service also enables them to enjoy HD voice using Ntc VoLTE.
The company said that with Ntc 4G in Gurans, Dailekh, people now can experience reliable internet and quality mobile services.
Kamal Lamichhane, Director of Nepal Telecom, Provincial Directorate, Surkhet, said that the service expansion (4G) has added new possibilities in digital access, education, health, and information flow in daily life. He added that the company has always given high priority to providing telecommunication services in remote areas.
As of now, Ntc 4G is available in about 99% of local levels. At the same time, the company’s FTTH service NT Fiber has reached all 77 districts including remote districts such as Dolpa and Humla.
