Ncell has brought a new feature “Resource Exchange” on its app that lets you exchange one resource with another. The feature available on the Ncell app lets you trade data with voice or vice versa in their Sadhain ON packs, useful when you are in need of one type of resource than the other. In this post, we provide all the detailed information about Ncell’s groundbreaking Resource Exchange feature, how to do it, and more.
Background
Ncell’s Resource Exchange feature lets you make data or voice reusable even after finishes by trading it with the other type of remaining resource. For e.g., if you have used up the data in your Sadhain ON pack but the voice is remaining, then you can convert the remaining voice to data. It also lets you exchange data with talk time.
Ncell launched its Resource Exchange feature on its Ncell app recently aligning it with the telco’s Sadhain ON revolution. In recent months, the company has brought several enhancements to its services to extend its always-connected theme. This includes a rollover feature, Facebook Basic Mode, etc. The latest one – “Resource Exchange” aims at keeping users connected with the pack they prefer be it data or voice.
To illustrate it further, if you buy a Sadhain ON Basic Pack, you get 2 GB of data, 49 minutes of all-Nepal calls, and 9 SMS. However, if you are not using the voice pack and rather need more data, you can convert the talk time to data. Or suppose that you need talk time and won’t need data, you can trade in data for more talk time.

Ncell has brought one real advantage with the Resource Exchange feature
Resource Exchange seeks to eliminate users’ anxious situations in which they need to bear with a resource they don’t or barely use. Arguably, we end up forcibly using the pack or just letting it go till the validity takes it away.
Due to internet access, many of us are more inclined towards using data and fewer cellular calls. But at times, voice can be more important than data to stay in touch or to convey an important message. Further, those with WiFi at home buy Sadhain ON pack for voice so data is only crucial when WiFi is not available.
The point is, that not everyone uses both types of resources. So, this unique feature lets users trade in one resource for the other. So, it could just be yet another revolutionary feature you were waiting for.
What do you need?
For Resource Exchange in Ncell, you need to have a Ncell app and a Sadhain ON pack. As it works online only, you also need an active internet connection. The process to exchange resources is rather easy so having basic familiarity with the app’s working would also work.
How do I perform data and voice exchange in Ncell?
Trading resources in Ncell is quite easy. You need an Ncell mobile app and must have bought a Sadhain ON pack as a prerequisite. If you meet both of these criteria, here are the steps to exchange data with voice or voice with data.
- Open Ncell app
- Tap to open Resource Exchange
- Tap on Data under My Packs
- Select the resource you want to exchange and tap on Exchange at the bottom
- Tap Confirm
- You have successfully exchanged your resources in Ncell

How much data and voice do I get with Resource Exchange?
Ncell has determined fixed volumes of data and voice when swapping. You get an option to swap a fixed volume of data or voice to swap for a particular amount of the other resource. There are four different transactions possible. For e.g., you can exchange 50 minutes of talk time with 1220 MB of data and 100 minutes of talk time with 2500 MB of data. Likewise, 200 and 500 minutes of talk time get you 5000 and 12500 MB of data, respectively.
Voice (in minutes) | To data (in MB) |
50 | 1,220 |
100 | 2,500 |
200 | 5,000 |
500 | 12,500 |
On the other hand, you can also swap a fixed amount of Sadhain ON data with Sadhain ON voice. In these transactions, you can exchange 500 MB of data with 20 minutes of voice. Similarly. 1 GB of data can be exchanged with 41 minutes of voice. 2 GB and 5 GB of data are swappable with 82 and 205 minutes of talk time, respectively.
Data | To Voice (in minutes) |
500 MB | 20 |
1 GB | 41 |
2 GB | 82 |
5 GB | 205 |
Keep in mind that the transaction is only possible with Sadhain ON packs and SMS are not included in these swaps.

Conclusion
Resource Exchange is a valuable feature for mobile users who subscribe to packs for connectivity. It lets us exchange resources we use less for the resource that we prefer. You can swap data with voice or voice with data depending on your needs. I believe it’s another milestone feature Ncell has brought aboard in line with its Sadhain ON revolution. The only quibble is that you need to have a Sadhain ON pack to be eligible for Resource Exchange but that’s also sensible as Sadhain ON packs provide both voice and data which is required for swapping.
