Nepal Telecom has dismissed any suggestions that it neglects the severity of its corporate customer data and security. The company has released a notice expressing its strong reaction against the accusation that the telco downplays its commitment to user data privacy.
On Jestha 22, 2079, an online news portal expressed doubt regarding Ntc’s security for its services. The company says that the news piece has strongly drawn its attention.

Nepal Telecom promises a commitment to Customer data security
In the notice, the state-backed telco expressed its commitment to customer data privacy:
“We request all customers to be assured that Nepal Telecom always respects the privacy of the customers. It will not compromise its security and privacy even once,” Ntc said in a statement.
The company said that it only provides user data in particular instances for eg. In judicial proceedings.
“Like any telecommunication service provider, Ntc provides details only after the order of the court in case of any investigation by the authorized body of the state. By making the company’s services very reliable and safe, we are very sensitive to maintaining the confidentiality of the customers,” the telco continued.
Ntc requested customers to use its services with confidence.
