The service was launched by Renu Dahal, Mayor of the metropolitan city in an official program. Property tax, map pass, revenue tax, and restoration tax now can be paid hassle-free through online mediums.
Dahal spoke, “The service has been launched in every ward in preparation for digital technology” and also added, “work is being done with the objective of creating a digital metropolitan.” So, Bharatpur is going towards a paperless service in the city as an initial phase. This goes as an important aid for the smart city project of the metro.
Metropolitan Deputy Chief Chitrasen Adhikari has urged everyone to utilize the service through the online system. He believes this is a step to reduce corruption.

How to Do Online Tax Payment?
First, the citizens of Bharatpur metro need to open an online account on the official website. While creating an account, you need to input taxpayer type, taxpayer code number, and new internal code number. You also need a registered phone number and an email account for further process. After the successful registration, one can view various options in the dashboard. The website also lets you calculate the tax as per your registered property. For now, users can pay via eSewa or Khalti.
