Samsung has conferred certificates to 53 students of the Pulchowk Campus of Tribhuvan University Institute of Engineering on their completion of the third batch of Coding and Programming of its flagship CSR program, Samsung Innovation Campus.
Now, the next batch of students will start the Artificial Intelligence (AI) course at the prestigious university. Altogether, 53 students received certificates of completion at a ceremony at TU, IoE.
The ceremony had the gracious presence of Mr. In Su Kim, Head, Nepal Office, Samsung & Dr. Shashidhar Ram Joshi, Professor & Dean, Tribhuvan University Institute of Engineering. Also present were Mr. Binod Kumar Bhattarai Assistant Dean of Tribhuvan University Institute of Engineering, Mr. Suraj Lamichhane Assistant Dean of Tribhuvan University Institute of Engineering, and Dr. Indra Prasad Acharya, Campus Chief, Pulchowk Campus.

Samsung Innovation Campus CSR Honing Youth in future tech skills
Samsung launched its global CSR program Samsung Innovation Campus at the Pulchowk Campus of Engineering in Nepal in December 2022. With it, Samsung seeks to train youth in Nepal on future tech skills. Courses range from Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things, Big Data, and Coding & Programming. Additionally, it focuses on providing insights into contributing to the development of a strong technology and innovation ecosystem in Nepal. Students require knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and programming to be eligible for the course.
The program provides participants with real job skills and in-demand tech skills. As a result, students can improve their digital literacy, learning abilities, creativity, and employability.

We completed the Coding & Programming course and it was highly appreciated. The program also offers soft skills training to enhance students’ employability and ability to bring their knowledge to life. It nurtures problem-solving capabilities that will enable students to become innovative thinkers.

A milestone experience for the students
Under this program, students will undergo a practical project component. In this, students will face challenges to present projects of social significance in which AI, Big Data, Coding & Programming, and IoT play a role.
Starting in 2019, the Samsung Innovation Campus is part of Samsung’s global CSR vision. It carries the slogan “Together for Tomorrow! Enabling People”. Essentially, the program trains students and youth to gain experience in key technologies of the 4th Industrial Revolution, honing tech skills for the next generation workforce.
