The customer base of WorldLink Communications Ltd has reached a milestone of 8 lakh. The private internet service provider (ISP) announced the feat via its official Facebook page on Friday (September 8, 2023).
On this occasion, the company extended its gratitude to its loyal customers. The company wrote, “From our hearts to your homes, we’ve achieved this remarkable milestone of 8 lakh active customers. It’s not just a number; it’s an achievement for us, and this is only because of our loyal customers, the dedicated internal staff of different locations, and our supportive well-wishers.”
The company summed up its vision of greater connectivity across the country in the post:
“Together, we’re working towards our vision of “Connecting Everyone, Anywhere, All the Time” and creating a brighter digital future for Nepal. We are very thankful to our customers for being part of our journey!”
WorldLink’s exponentially high customer base can be attributed to its reliable Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) internet packages, exciting offers, and a strong network of customer support services. But it has taken some years for the company to become this dominant.
WorldLink’s ascendency to the top
The company started off in 1995 as an email service provider. Then, it established its own VSAT satellite communication and began offering internet service to the public. It then transitioned to the coaxial cable in 2003 for fixed-line internet service. Till that time, the ISP was not yet the leader. That happened after it launched fiber internet in 2014.
Blistering speed, offers, and affordability coupled with WorldLink’s exuberant marketing steadfastly won the growing internet consumer over. Since then, the Kathmandu-based ISP has gone from an email service provider to the largest ISP in Nepal in terms of its customer base.

WorldLink services
Apart from FTTH internet, WorldLink provides IPTV service (NetTV). There’s an upgraded version of NetTV in Streamz+ which comes with TV channels, games, and Chromecast, among various features. As part of its public offering, the company also has over 14,000 WiFi-Express hotspots in crowded places across Nepal.
The company uses its infrastructure from Nokia, Juniper, Cisco, Huawei, etc. to ensure high-quality service delivery. But also unmissable is that you can buy a 1 Gbps internet package from WorldLink with a Mesh router system for a world-class home WiFi experience. Likewise, you get a dual-band Nokia router by default while installing a new WorldLink connection.
Coverage
WorldLink Internet is available in over 74 districts across all three regions- Mountain, Hill, and Terai. At the moment, there is a focus on expanding the connectivity in remote areas. In March, the company established FTTH internet in Jumla. There are plans to continue this momentum further to connect the remote parts of the country. Similarly, the company is active in multiple CSR initiatives as well.
We will bring more comprehensive data on WorldLink when the revised MIS report brings a newer update next time.
Nepalitelecom.com heartily congratulates WorldLink on achieving this unprecedented feat of an 8 lakh customer base and wishes the company more milestones ahead.
