This week, we have started a Poll. The Poll is valid for a week time after which we will make a post out of the result. We have asked our website viewers, “Who do you think the transparent telecom operator is for Nepal”. It is regarding the hidden costs involved during charging of several services. We have even put the same question in our tweet as mentioned below.

And the result of the polls came out to be for Nepal Telecom. Around 70 percent people voted for the favor of Nepal Telecom, out of 700 total polls. We can see how much trust is there with the transparent Telecom provider.
As today is the 13th anniversary of Nepal Telecom, we would also like to congratulate for getting so much faith among the customers. We would also like to request them to keep the faith and always bring new, improved services as per the demand of the customers.
Nepal Telecom, the government owned telecom operator is pioneer for all of the telecom services in Nepal. Their service ranges from technologies like GSM, CDMA, 3G, EVDO, Landline, ADSL, WIMAX and many more. The recent addition to the list of the services is 4G LTE for which also they are the pioneer here in Nepal. With 4G, they are providing high speed internet to its customers in Kathmandu and Pokhara. It is also launched for prepaid from today.
They have also launched their anniversary offers, which has got mixed response. So our next week poll is regarding this offer, do visit here. Some of the youngsters have exploded in social medias including our Facebook message regarding their huge expectations for the anniversary offer. We have also posted our speculations regarding the data plans to counter Ncell aggressive plan.
Here are some suggestions to Nepal Telecom.
Suggestions to Ntc for improvement.
Being a trustworthy operator does not put it in superior position always. It is not likely to have those advantages of loyalty, unless you bring offers timely and as per the demand of the customers. It is no doubt that Nepal Telecom has done a lot for the development of ICT sectors in Nepal. They are one of those sectors that have acquired recent advancements in technologies. The telephone access and broadband reach are also increasing day by day. But they should always have some words to the customers time and again with their offers (especially different range of affordable data packs, voice packs and more). Sometime subscribers even ask for innovative services instead of those boring ones. The operator should even reach out to customers in several forms for different activation procedures that should be easy to understand and easy to tell others.
The customer care management of the government owned company is traditional. They have not devised their organization for listening customer problems properly. Yes they have got different numbers like 198, 1498, 191 for listening and noting customer problems. But they are not aware of the different problems in the services that they have launched. One of the recent case is with 4G and CRBT query as per a Facebook complainer’s experience with 1498.
If NT improves these two things, it is most sure that they will be ahead in the race. And no other telecom operator can come close to them. Lets hope NT listens and we can use new/innovative, high quality services at affordable rates. Let there be healthy and fare competition between the operators.
On this special day, what would you like to suggest to Nepal Telecom? Happy Anniversary NT!!
