After getting 4G license, Ncell is all geared up to launch 4G in three cities of Nepal. They have submitted their plan to launch 4G in Kathmandu, Pokhara and Damauli. Ntc launched 4G in Kathmandu and Pokhara from Jan 1, 2017. Comparatively Ncell’s 4G network will reach one more city: Damauli in the first phase. It is known they are going to provide 4G in other major cities like Biratnagar, Butwal, Nepalgunj e.t.c.
We have also found Ncell 4G signal in some major area of Kathmandu, Lalitpur.
Despite the CGT controversy and PAC’s objection, NTA awards 4G license to Ncell and it seems they are going firm to launch it soon. It was also before getting the license, they were found testing 4G in Kathmandu. That time, it was illegal. But now, the launch can happen soon due to that early preparation.

According to feedback from our followers, Ncell 4G signal is found in Swoyambhu, Banasthali areas. Similarly, we even found the signal at Baneshwor, Pulchowk area. Here are the snapshots of the 4G signal in Kathmandu.
How to check Ncell 4G in your area?
If you are in Kathmandu, Pokhara, Damauli, you can even check Ncell 4G signal in your area. Go to Settings. choose the SIM card and mobile networks. Which will show you the list of networks available at your place, after some scanning. If you see, 429 02 and LTE, then it is sure that Ncell is testing 4G in your area. Also if you see, 429 01 and LTE, then it means Ntc 4G is available at your place. It also means your handset supports 4G technology. It only holds true for Kathmandu, Pokhara and additionally for Damauli with Ncell.
