Samsung has officially unveiled four new smartphones in the Galaxy S10 lineup and a foldable phone called Galaxy Fold. Samsung’s unpacked event launched the top-line S10 and S10+, having significant up-gradation in the hardware than the predecessor S9 lineup. The up-gradation includes an in-display fingerprint sensor, triple rear camera and reverse wireless charging.
The hole punch cutout for the camera stands out to prevent the notch. There are two other versions like affordable Galaxy S10e and the large-sized, 5G version S10 5G which will be available later. The ambitious Foldable phone-tablet combo called Galaxy Fold also took the limelight of the show. Find the detailed specs of all S10 versions and Galaxy Fold below.
Samsung has a good start for 2019 with the 10th iterations of its Flagship smartphone. They have also targeted the affordable range with the S10e, the same as what Apple did with iPhone XR. While Samsung targets high end users with 5G version and the Galxy Fold. All of the phones will run on their latest One UI over Android 9 Pie. Based on different regions, Samsung either uses Snapdragon 855 processor or their own Exynos Processor.
Samsung S10
Samsung’s base line of S10 series, the Galaxy S10 has a lot of attractive features like the 6.1 inch QHD+ 19:9 OLED panels (Dynamic OLED) with HDR10+ certification and Triple rear camera.
The screen is also bright and give good colors while emitting less blue light that affects our sleeping routine from the melatonin hormone. The screen has a Gorilla Glass 6 protection with improved durability and increased survival from drops.
The rear camera has three lens of 16 MP f/2.2 ultra-wide lens, a 12 MP f/2.4 telephoto lens and a 12 MP lens which switches between f/1.5 and f/2.4 aperture. The three lens, the flash and health sensor are arranged horizontally. Both the 12 MP camera features OIS for a better stabilized shot. The scene optimizer in the camera can identify 30 different scenes and provide the best settings to make a great shot.
The hole punch in the screen makes room for the 10 MP front camera, due to which the phone has impressive aesthetics with bezel-less edge to edge design. The display also has the World’s first-ever Ultrasonic fingerprint scanner (in-display fingerprint scanner) to use sound waves for unlocking.
The phone has curved sides in the back, making it easier to hold. S10 has 8GB of RAM while the storage option is in 128 GB and 512 GB. The battery of 3400 mAH supports fast charging from USB type C and wireless dock.
The reverse wireless charging called Wireless PowerShare, gives you the ability to share your power with other devices having WPC Qi wireless charging capability.
The 8 GB RAM and 128 GB version of the S10 costs $899.
Samsung S10 Plus
Now lets talk of the larger S10, the S10 plus with 6.4 inches QHD+ AMOLED screen with 19:9 aspect ratio. The bigger size also comes with a bigger battery of 4100 mAH, as compare to that of 3400 mAH in S10. All the exciting features in S10 are common to S10 plus like the same triple camera lens, in-display fingerprint, and Wireless reverse charging. The phone adds the second camera of 8 MP with the 10 MP one, making a longer cutout in the screen. The vapor chamber cooling feature in the phone works well to cool the phone for longer gaming.
S10 plus has RAM version from 8 GB to 12 GB, with storage up to 1 TB. The price of Samsung S10 Plus starts from $999 for 8 GB RAM and 128 GB Storage.
Samsung S10 5G
The 5G version of S10 will not launch together with its siblings. As the carrier need to launch and expand their 5G network, this S10 5G will launch after 5G comes commercially available which could be from Mid of this year. S10 5G has a bigger 6.74 inch AMOLED Screen, 19:9 aspect ratio, bigger battery of 4500 mAH and four rear cameras with 3D depth sensing. Four cameras are for photo tricks and Augmented reality experience. There are also dual selfie cameras in the front of this S10 5G phone to have a bigger cutout in the top right corner. There is also a visible 5G logo on the back of the phone.
There is 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage version, without any pricing for now.
Samsung S10e
The affordable version of S10 called S10e (e for essentials) also offers the same processor, same dynamic OLED but the smaller screen (5.8 inch). The base version S10e has lesser RAM to start with like 6 GB and 128 GB storage. The display is flat which is the same as earlier S6, S7 used to be (without edge). You also could not find the in-display fingerprint sensor (as in other S10 models) which moves to the side of the phone.
Talking of Cameras in S10e, it supports dual rear cameras only with 16 MP, f/2.2 ultrawide and 12 MP with aperture switching between f/1.5 and f/2.4. The selfie snapper also has a single 10 MP camera punch cutout like the S10. The battery of the phone also comes down to 3100 mAH.
The price of 6 GB RAM, 128 GB storage comes to $749.
Samsung Galaxy Fold
The ambitious Foldable device is a Phone-tablet combo called Galaxy Fold. The foldable device has a 7.3-inch display when open out to be a tablet. While the device becomes 4.6 inch screen when folded to be a phone. The tablet mode screen can do multitasking of 3 apps and the seamless screen switching with the fold/open out.
Galaxy fold has six cameras to provide camera from any end. It has 12 GB of RAM, 512 GB storage and 4380 mAH battery. Well, it has a whopping price tag of $1980.

The water & dust resistance, headphone jack, and wireless charging functionality make it to all of the phones, as always. All in all, these phones with high-end specs and exciting looks will definitely allure people to buy. The question is now whether they can afford to buy such phones. With Samsung topping the least radiating phones list, it is one more reason to buy the phones apart from the looks, design, and specs.
