At the first, the only 6/128GB variant of the device was available in Nepal but later 4/128GB variant was introduced in the market. Vivo offered a cash discount of Rs. 1000 as festival offer on the occasion of Tihar. Design and Display
Talking about the design of the device, the handset looks beautiful and is quite great to hold on the hand. There is a tiny waterdrop notch on the front and a relatively smaller chin on the bottom. Vivo has offered in-display fingerprint on this budget device and this is one of the great features of the phone.
The new Vivo S1 highlights a 6.3 inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340px. The implementation of the AMOLED panel adds an extra feature of always-on-display on the phone which comes pretty handy in times. The 19.5:9 aspect ratio display with 404 ppi density makes the phone more lucrative and has a good image quality.
Performance and Camera
While it comes to the performance, the phone is among the performing phones in this price range. The Vivo S1 houses a Mediatek MT6768 Helio P65 12nm processor which is coupled with 4/6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device runs on Funtouch 9 OS on top of Android 9.0 Pie. Comparing the performance of the phone with other devices at the price range of 30K in Nepal, it comes in level with Snapdragon 660, 665 or even with 710.
As far as cameras are concerned, Vivo S1 features a triple camera set up on the rear and teardrop designed selfie shooter. There is a 16 MP 1/2.8″, 1.12µm, PDAF primary lens, ultra-wide 8 MP, f/2.2, 13mm and 2 MP, f/2.4, depth sensor in the back. In the video section, the phone can only shoot at 1080p @ 30 fps which is below average. There is a 32 MP, f/2.0 lens for beautiful selfies.
Battery and Others
The Vivo S1 packs a massive 4500 mAh battery which is considerably large for a mid-range device like this. The phone supports fast charging and the Vivo offers an 18-watt charger in the box.
