The very first Nepal’s Cyber Security Journal got announced in an event on 6th October. Journal of Cyber Security Research & Innovation (CSRI) is a peer-reviewed interdisciplinary journal on Cyber Security Technology & Management. This journal is a collaboration of the Center for Cyber Security Research & Innovation (CSRI) & Security Response Team Nepal (npCert).
CSRI is Nepal’s leading center for catering industry-driven cyber security analysis. Such analysis has an impact & also addresses the growing cyber security issues with creative solutions. Similarly, npCert is a team of Information Security experts. So, this joint venture is conducted to address the urgent need to protect national data & information. It also aims to counteract the growing cyber threat in Nepal.

Focus of Cyber Security Journal
The primary focus of the cybersecurity journal of CSRI & npCert is to strengthen knowledge in cyber security technology & management. So, this half-yearly journal will be emphasizing the research, development & innovation in Nepal. Furthermore, it also aims to publish top-notch cyber technology & security research papers, practitioners’ experiences, and university students’ works. Dr.Rajib Subba will be the Editor in Chief for the Journal while Mr. Chiranjibi Adhikari is the Managing Editor.

The Journal for Cyber Security Research and Innovation desires to publish informative, research-based analytical scientific articles concerning the issue of network safety innovation and management. They further desire to give a forum to correspondence between the academicians and experts, both Nepali foreign, taking part in cyber security & management. The publication board of the Journal supported articles has requested to submit articles regarding Cyber Security advancements, developments, and the management with reasonable, observational, and hypothetical bases with practical application value in the Nepalese context through their web-based system at https://easychair.org/ by the 31st of December, 2021.
About the Launch Event & Participants
An event regarding the journal conducted on Wednesday, included participation of several leaders & pioneers of Cyber Security information, knowledge & practices in Nepal. The attendants include the Joint Secretary of Ministry if Communication & Information Technology Mr. Anil K Dutta, Acting President of Internet Society of Nepal, Mr. Romkant Pandey, the Vice president of Internet Governance Institute, Mr. Baburam Aryal & the President of CSIT Association of Nepal, Mr. Asish Giri. The event was led by Professor Dr. Subarna Shakya of CSRI Nepal.
