The top 5 finalists for the prestigious ICT Award 2021 have been announced for various categories. 5 out of 11 categories were revealed through the selection of the jury committee for the ongoing 6th edition of the F1soft ICT Award 2021.
The top 5 candidates were chosen under the Huawei Startup ICT Award, Product ICT Award, and Rising Start Innovation ICT Award 2021 categories. Those top 5 prospects were chosen through the presentation and speed dating session held last Saturday (Oct. 23rd).
Public Voting to Decide The Winner
Customarily, public voting will decide the winner in each said category that is starting coming November 1. The public could cast the vote via eSewa and SMS.
Similarly, the Public Choice ICT Award category is now live for the top 10 candidates in each of the 3 categories already chosen.
The final results will be announced in the grand finale that will follow jury selection, public voting, and a field visit.

Top 5 Startups
More than 50 ICT startups had turned in for the award. Out of the following top, 5 startups will vie for the prestigious ICT Award 2021.

Rising Star Innovation Category
One of the biggest headliners for the ICT Award is the Rising Star Innovation category. This popular category drew more than 60 nominations for this year. However, the following top 5 will race for the highest accolade this term.

The Other 8 Categories
The organizers have always tried to make the ICT Awards as accomodating as possible. Diverse categories are one way it can invite more candidates into the limelight and motivate them to realize their ICT potential. Therefore, ICT Award 2021 also has the following categories to encourage more ICT growth among the youth.
- Pioneer ICT Award
- Nepali Diaspora ICT Award
- Entrepreneur ICT Award
- Woman Icon ICT Award.
Then there is a special reservation for public and private sector organizations for the Digital Education ICT Award (Public Sector), Digital Education ICT Award (Private Sector), Digital Governance ICT Award (Public Sector), and Digital Services ICT Award (Private Sector). The selection process is underway in all these categories.
While the top 5 prospects will enter public voting from November 5 onwards, the selection for the remaining 8 categories has already begun. Mr. Razan Lamsal, the organizing committee’s coordinator has given details regarding the selection procedure. He informed that a 12-member jury and 13 special advisory groups will be responsible to produce the fairest selection.

ICT Awards are also competitive and fairest. The nominees go through the events such as Startup and Idea Fest, Presentation and Speed Dating Session, Field Visit, and Public Voting to come out on top. Dr. Subarna Shakya added the transparent and impartial selection process is a major success of the ICT Award.
Since its inception in 2016, ICT Award has grown into the benchmark platform for Nepali ICT career pursuits and enthusiasts. For individuals, the Awards has served as the best space to promote their idea, product, or familiarize themselves with the growing ICT ecosystem in the country.
A Hefty Sum & Investment Opportunities
The winners of the ICT Award 2021 will be in for encouraging prizes. This includes a handsome Rs.1.5 million from Rastriya Banijya Bank. Additionally, the winners will gain opportunities for investment in startups and ideas from Huawei, Ncell, Nepal Telecom, eSewa, etc.
