Samsung Electronics has bagged a total of 71 iF Design awards in 2022. The accolades include three gold awards at the International Forum (iF) Awards 2022 which is a prestigious German design competition.
The South Korean tech giant received Gold Awards for its portable screen The Freestyle, smartphone Galaxy Flip3, and wireless vacuum cleaner Bespoke Slim. At the competition, Samsung stood out against 11,000 submissions from 57 countries and won the most awards.
iF Design Awards was founded in 1953 as Die Gute Industrieform e.V. It conducts a comprehensive assessment of differentiation and impact and others in nine categories to recognize products. The categories include Product, Packaging, Communication, Professional Concept, Interior Architecture, Architecture, Service Design, User Experience (UX), and User Interface (UI).
“It is important for a design to connect the changing values with innovative technologies,” said Jinsoo Kim, Executive Vice President at Corporate Design Center in Samsung Electronics. “We are committed to offering a meaningful experience that both meets the various demands of customers and improves the quality of our lives.”

Samsung Wins Gold at iF Awards 2022
Samsung won gold awards in recognition for its innovative designs. The company says its award-winning design offer customized experiences for different lifestyles.
Its portable screen The Freestyle can go as large as 254 cm in diagonal length depending on the environment where one uses it. To illustrate, whether on the wall, the ceiling, or the floor, the screen rotates 180 degrees. And due to its lightweight design, it is highly portable. The users can carry the screen in one hand and walk around without discomfort. They can carry it to camping sites, or to both indoors and outdoors.
Samsung says that depending on lifestyle, buyers can use the Freestyle screen as a Bluetooth speaker or as an ambient lamp. You can use it to glow light in various colors.
Another gold winner, the Galaxy Z Flip3 won for its iconic and compact design. The device brings users premium features, and exclusive foldable experiences and provides a personalized smartphone experience.
With its unique form factor, users can emulate a smartphone experience in unfolded and pocketable design when a user folds it in half. Likewise, Samsung has refined its design with a large cover screen. Besides, users can also view notifications and capture quick photos even when the phone is folded.
The Bespoke Slim vacuum cleaner also won gold for its simple design and its usability in the surrounding living space. Samsung’s Bespoke concept brings customized products to fit lifestyles and tastes. The company employed the concept of the cleaner improving the user experience of cleaning the house entirely.

A total of 71 Awards
Samsung distinguished itself from the rest with the indomitable total of 71 awards at the iF Design Award 2022. The company won honors in all categories including Product and User Interface (UI).
Likewise, Samsung won awards for other products. These include Neo QLED 8K, the Bespoke French Door Refrigerator, and the Galaxy Buds2 also won awards in the Product category.
