State-backed telecom operator Ntc has significantly reduced the tariff charges of roaming services for prepaid and postpaid users in India and Thailand. The telco said that bringing the new roaming charges into effect on the occasion of the ITU Day 2023, from Jestha 03, 2080 (May 17, 2023) onwards.
The new roaming charges will benefit people who want to continue using Ntc services abroad. Likewise, it will be of great value to the users who will be able to connect to their friends and families at such low costs.

New Ntc Roaming Charges in India and Thailand
As per the new rates, with a Nepal Telecom SIM in India, calls to any Indian phone number will cost only Rs 7. Similarly, receiving calls from Nepal and any other country will cost Rs 7 per minute only. The same cost will apply per SMS as well.
Currently, calling any Indian number with Ntc roaming service in India costs Rs 30. At the same time, receiving calls costs Rs 14, and sending an SMS charges Rs 24.

Likewise, in Thailand, calling any number in Thailand or Nepal with a prepaid or postpaid SIM will now cost only Rs 50. Receiving the calls will cost Rs 25. and per SMS charge will be Rs. 10.
At present, calling any number in Thailand with an Ntc SIM costs Rs 135, and receiving calls costs Rs 90. Per SMS costs Rs 34.

At the same time, using data while roaming costs Rs 40 per MB. However, the costs per MB will now be lowered to Rs 0.49 per 100 KB which translates to Rs 5 per MB. It’s a massive reduction of Rs 35 per MB use of data roaming in Ntc.
Being able to use an Ntc number while abroad is an international roaming service. After using the service, users can make and receive calls, browse the internet, and exchange SMS.
