Huawei and ICT Foundation Nepal (IFN) have struck a partnership that will bring Huawei MNC Digital Nepal Conclave 2023 this coming week. The annual event brings policymakers, industry experts, and multiple ecosystem partners to discuss how to achieve digital transformation in Nepal.
Both Huawei and IFN signed MoU at the Huawei office on June 18. At the signing ceremony, Huawei Nepal CEO Huang Jun, and President of IFN, Razan Lamsal, signed the agreement papers on behalf of their respective organization. According to the agreement, both parties will cooperate to make the event effective.
Regarding the conclave, Razan Lamsal, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, says, “This conclave will be held under the slogan of ‘Fostering Digitally Sakshyam Nepal’, and will emphasize Nepal’s capability for digital transformation, the necessary policies and implementation required for it. Digital Nepal Conclave is a great conference to be organized in Kathmandu after the program of all seven provinces, which will help to find the right direction in the transformation of Digital Nepal and emphasize its implementation.”
The announcement of the official program has arrived via a press conference at Hotel Himalaya. Hempal Shrestha, Razan Lamsal, Zhangliang James, and Dr. Birendra Kumar Mishra were present at the recent press conference.
The conclave will comprise six different themes designed to arrange 15 sessions. Altogether 70 speakers will deliver their presentations on various topics. The conclave will feature a comprehensive agenda touching on a wide range of topics such as digital policies and regulations, digital infrastructure, e-governance, and cybersecurity. Additionally, topics of data management and analytics, digital innovation, AI, and many more will also be in discussion. Participants can expect engaging keynote speeches, interactive panel discussions, workshops, and presentations by experts.

Huawei Digital Nepal Conclave Nepal 2023- Fostering Digitally Sakshyam Nepal
The Huawei Conclave Nepal 2023 event will commence with the slogan ‘Fostering Digitally Sakshyam Nepal’ and will take place for two days at the Soaltee Kathmandu on June 23rd and 24th. Several subject matter experts from Japan, South Korea, Singapore, India, and Bangladesh will participate in the event. The event will particularly revolve around Nepal’s capability for digital transformation and the necessary policies and implementation.
IFN hosted Digital Samvad 4.0
IFN has also hosted Digital Pradesh Samvad 4.0 in all seven provinces which is the pre-event campaign of the conclave.
The inaugural program begins on June 18 at 10 am and will feature four keynotes by various national and international experts. Additionally, there will also be a power dialogue session with Communication Minister Rekha Sharma. The second day of the conclave includes sessions on Digital Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Tech Stack and Digital Capability, Digital Economy, and Fintech Capability.

Huawei to Host Mini Mobile World Congress
Huawei conducts and helps organize various flagship programs in Nepal one being Seeds for the Future. Likewise, the tech giant is also organizing Mobile Nepal Congress (MNC). It’s a type of Mini Mobile World Congress where participants will get information about various latest technologies such as 5G AI. The fair will discuss advanced technologies and solutions which will benefit enterprises, telecom, and ICT companies.
For the initiative, Huawei has set GUIDE as the driving theme. GUIDE stands for Gigaverse Initiative, Ultra-automation Speed Up, Intelligent Computing & Network as a Service, Differentiated Expectation on Demand, and Environmental, Social, and Governance for MNC.
The firm believes that Mobile Nepal Congress 2023 will bring relevant and timely discussions about global innovation and solutions which have the potential for businesses in the country to accelerate Nepal’s digital transformation.
