Nepal Telecom has expanded its high-speed Fiber-to-the-Home-based fiber internet service in Shankhu Patichaur, Kavre. Following this expansion, NTC’s high-speed home internet (NT Fiber) is now available to customers in the areas close to Sankhu Patichaur of Dhulikhel Municipality Ward no. 12 and Panauti Ward no. 10. This became possible after the state-backed company completed PSTN to FTTH migration for the area.
NTC office chief of Banepa, Jagadish Lekhak says that the customers in Shankhu Patichaur and nearby areas will now get high-speed fiber internet, telephone, and IPTV (NT TV) services. This is what the company calls Triple Play service. Nepal Telecom is the sole provider of this type of service. In the recent past, the company has ditched ADSL service and switched to fiber internet in many areas to provide high-quality internet services. In the meantime, the focus has been on service diversification too.
Apart from fiber internet, NTC customers can also get telephone, and IPTV services. This type of service is available in most areas where NTC has rolled out its FTTH service.
