Xiaomi Nepal has initiated a campaign with traffic police to raise awareness about traffic security through video content. Through this, the two entities provide the public information on traffic rules, regulations, and other ideal behavior while driving. The campaign is part of the elite tech brand’s Corporate Social Responsibility (SCR).
This campaign stresses compliance with traffic rules and highlights the possibility of serious consequences of ignoring road safety measures. The video addresses the main causes of road accidents in Nepal, such as speeding, drunk driving, crossing the road at the wrong place, not using overhead bridges, and using mobile phones while driving.
A recent study found that 7 individuals, on average, die in Nepal in various types of road accidents. As a popular company, Xiaomi Nepal seeks to play its social role and help minimize such road mishaps. In the video content, Xiaomi and Nepal traffic police emphasize driving responsibly. The company said that the main objective of the campaign is to promote responsible driving behavior and minimize the death rate resulting from road accidents.
The government has undertaken multiple efforts to promote road safety across the country. However, the number of road tragedies remains a massive challenge. From traffic lights to radar guns, various tools equipment, and strategies are enforced to address the accidents. It’s good that Xiaomi Nepal has also signed up with the government for the effort.
