Ncell Foundation has extended its support and assistance to the people affected by floods and landslides in Godavari. Through the Ncell Foundation, the telco has lent its supportive hands to the families in Godavari Municipality, Lalitpur with relief packages who were impacted by natural mishaps on September 27 and 28.
Ncell has remained at the forefront of helping people through hardships wrought by natural disasters. Whenever disasters such as earthquakes, floods, landslides, etc. strike, the telco quickly takes the initiative to help. The company also sends alert SMS to the people to help with rescue efforts.
Driven by the Ncell Foundation’s principle- Because Everything is Connected, the telco helped about 200 families in Godavari on Monday, October 07 with relief support in affected wards 4, 7, 8, 10, and 13 with support.
Bishakha Lakshmi Khadka, Head of Corporate Communications and CSR, Ncell said, “At Ncell, we believe that in moments of natural disaster, it’s our duty to stand by our communities because we are all connected together for Nepal.”
Mayor of Godavari Municipality Gajendra Maharjan added, “During this difficult time of calamity, the relief provided by Ncell Foundation to the victims of various wards of our municipality is a great support. We are grateful to Ncell for this support. Now, we have to work on the rehabilitation.”

In its support, Ncell provided the affected families in Godavari with rations, necessary utensils, hygiene kits, blankets, floor mats, etc. These helped them with the most immediate needs from cooking, sleeping, health, and other necessities.
Ncell says that its support packages were handed over directly to the affected families by Ncell employees in the area. The telco collaborated on this initiative with Godavari Municipality and Karmayog Foundation.
Khadka further said, “Ncell Foundation has always been and will always be here to ensure that help reaches those in need and together with our partners, we are doing everything possible to provide relief, restore hope, and help rebuild lives of those who lost everything.”
The recent floods and landslides have reportedly claimed the lives of over 200 while many are injured and missing. Continuing with its CSR works, the telco decided to support the flood victims in Godavari by cooperating with other bodies. Likewise, the cooperation among the Ncell Foundation, Karmayog Foundation, and Godavari Municipality brought remarkable value during these challenging times. The initiative drew profound admiration from the local authority for reaching out to families in times of desperate need.

The community work in Godavari reflected the Ncell Foundation’s commitment to society in times of crisis, compassion, and solidarity. Going ahead, the company reiterates that it will continue to work with concerned government bodies and support families through rebuilding and rehabilitation.
