Dish Home will soon launch advanced WiFi technology, WiFi 6. Dish Home is collaborating with Huawei to bring the next-gen WiFi system to the Nepali market which comes with a potential 9.6 Gbps peak speed across multiple bands.
Also known as 802.11ax, WiFi 6 will improve many variables of a WiFi system. Users can expect a better throughput capacity, better coverage, and uniform bandwidth transmission, among many over the existing WiFi standard.
The news came from Huawei’s annual industry event Huawei Connect 2021, held on Nov. 16. We will bring more from Huawei’s flagship event in our upcoming posts.
Nepali internet consumers have often complained about the lack of consistent performance on their home WiFi. Despite ISPs’ attempts, customers have not witnessed a significant improvement in their wireless broadband performance. However, Dish Home‘s WiFi 6 could be a savior to address all those concerns.

How Fast Is WiFi 6?
With the next-gen version of WiFi entering the market soon, everyone would be curious to know about WiFi 6’s speed capacity. How fast will WiFi 6 really be?
The next-gen WiFi 6 is the most advanced WiFi standard with a much higher bandwidth capacity over its current standards in Nepal. The WiFi 6 is capable of up to 9.6 Gbps than the WiFi 5’s speed capacity of 3.5 Gbps. Besides, it will also operate in low latency (up to 75% less than WiFi 5), a huge advantage for online gamers and streamers.
However, WiFi 6’s strength is not merely in its speed but in its ability to maintain uniform data transmission among multiple devices. Depending on your bandwidth plan, when you connect one device to the WiFi 6 router, it will not deliver a significantly higher speed performance comparing it to when it is connected to a WiFi 5 set up.
However, WiFi 6 will have a major advantage when one connects more devices to their home WiFi. The WiFi 6 standard router will transmit a uniform bandwidth across your devices not to compromise anyone’s browsing experience. The users can receive a uniform bandwidth experience across their devices with WiFi 6.

But the quibble is there are not many devices such as phones, tablets, or computers that are compatible with WiFi 6. However, the ecosystem won’t take long to emerge once the next-gen WiFi standard hits the market.
Higher download capacity, consistency, better signal penetration, and improved battery life will be expected of WiFi 6.
WiFi 6 Compatible Devices List
WiFi 6 is a rather new innovation in wireless internet technology. The successor to the current WiFi 5 hit the markets in 2019 with major contributions from Qualcomm, a US chipmaker. So far limited devices have built-in support for WiFi 6.
