Himalaya Premium channel broadcast Football World Cup 2022 matches will be available for free for the next three months. The channels were introduced to air the Football tournament for paid subscribers.
As the competition concluded, many were skeptical about the future of paid TV channels. But releasing a notice on Tuesday, December 20, Himalaya TV said that the subscribers of the paid channels will be able to watch the channels for free for the next three months. After the offered free viewing, viewers will be charged for the renewal of the channel.
The statement thanked subscribers for being paid viewers of the channel and announced that they will have free viewing for an additional 90 days.

What will the Himalaya Premium channel broadcast after World Cup 2022 is over?
The Himalaya Premium channel was introduced to broadcast all the live matches in HD resolution for Nepali Football fans. Now as the competition has concluded, it will broadcast a repeat of key matches. Likewise, viewers will also get to watch “premium content” for the next three months at least.

Media Hub partnered with Himalaya TV to air Football WC 2022 with a subscription fee. Although criticized, Supreme Court ruled in favor of the companies and the payment-based model stood. As a result, many with broadband internet used apps and websites to stream the matches on their computers and smartphones resulting in an upsurge in internet traffic throughout the World Cup running month.
However, as per the agreement, Himalaya TV (the regular channel) also broadcasted Semi-Finals and the Final match for all. That meant those who hadn’t bought a subscription also were able to watch the matches including the riveting final showdown on Sunday, December 2018. Argentina ran out eventual winners in the penalty shootout in the nail-biting encounter against the defending champion France.
