Anyway, let’s give you more details about this phone.
HMD Crest 5G Overview
Design and Display

HMD Crest 5G’s design is simple and elegant. It’s got little rounds on the edges and the phone looks wide and tall at 163.9 x 76.4 x 8.4 mm measurements. It weighs 205 grams. The most noticeable part of it is self-repairability. You can swap the phone’s battery, replace its broken charging port, and even replace its display yourself. We have seen that CMF Phone 1 allows changing back panels and all. But this one here takes that far beyond.
The display of the phone is headed by a 6.67-inch OLED screen. It features an HD+ screen of 1080 x 2400 pixels with 395 ppi density. So, the images shall be sharp and colorful. The display takes an 85.8% screen-to-body ratio so, it’s a compact device on that account. Likewise, the refresh rate of the phone’s display is 90Hz.
Performance and Storage
The phone uses Unisoc T760 chipset for performance. It’s a 6nm build processor and has 8 cores. The single prime core runs at 2.2 GHz. Mali-G57 GPU is paired with this chipset.
The phone features a 6 GB of RAM but it can be extended to up to 12 GB with 6 GB of virtual RAM. Likewise, 128 GB storage offers decent storage for photos and multimedia. It’s also expandable with a shared SIM slot.
Camera
The phone has three cameras in total. The back has two cameras. The main is a wide camera of 50 MP and the other is a 2 MP depth sensor. Another highlight of the phone is its 50 MP selfie camera. Not many phones offer a 50 MP selfie camera but HMD Crest 5G does. Cameras of such capacity can take high-res photos with enough pixels to use for editing.

The phone’s Hands-Free Selfie feature allows gestures for difficult selfie moments. Another feature Tone Control and Beautify helps produce natural-looking selfies. At the same time, Slow-Motion Mode and AI Super Portrait Mode and Flash Shot produces mesmerizing self-portraits and capture moving subjects effortlessly. The Tripod Mode likewise, helps take long-exposure shots.
Battery and Charging
Despite its affordable price, the phone carries a 5,000mAh battery pack which gives enough life for a day. You can take a fully charged phone out and stay assured of a day battery on basic to moderate use. Also, the phone supports 33W fast charging. It’s not too huge but does good for the battery’s longevity.
Software and Additional Features
HMD Crest 5G runs on Android 14 OS. But there are reports that it will likely get an update to Android 15 which is the new OS for Android phones. For connectivity, it supports 5G, dual-band WiFi 5, and features a 3.5mm headphone jack. There’s also Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and other standard sensors. For security, the phone comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Sadly, the phone does not support band 20 for 4G, that is being used in Nepal. Same is the case for 5G bands as the most probable band (Trial band) in Nepal, which is n41 is also not supporting, if they have brought the phone from India.
