Taiwanese chipmaker MediaTek has launched its latest chipset Dimensity 9200+. The chipset supports sub-6 GHz 5G connectivity, WiFi 7, and a 320 MP camera among other key abilities. Essentially it brings some upgrades to the Dimensity 9200 SoC from 2022. Find out more details below.
The chipset uses TSMC’s N4p node (4nm second generation) however has the capacity to run its CPU and GPU at higher clock speeds. The company says it brings a 10% improvement to its predecessor.
Combined with one ultra-core Arm Cortex-X3 microprocessor operating at up to 3.35 GHz, and the other three Arm Cortex-A715 super cores clocking up to 3.0 GHz and four Arm Cortex-A510 efficiency cores at 2.0 GHz, the SoC delivers an exceptional performance delivery to the upcoming premium smartphones.
MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ Features
Dimensity 9200+ consumes the same power as the Dimensity 9200 which allows smartphones to stay cool during multitasking and gaming. Because of this, gamers can choose to play at a faster FPS and still get a decent battery performance. But the chipset is not just about power delivery. It is also intelligent enough in power savings. Smartphones backed by it will get 10-21% power savings in popular games, 35% in messaging apps, and 36% in WiFi hotspot mode.
The chipset integrates 64-bit Armv9 performance cores and is perfect for gaming smartphones that seek to deliver maximum performance.
