Ncell has further improved its advanced 4G service in various local levels of districts in the Sudurpashchim (Far-West) and Lumbini provinces. This latest expansion takes the private telco’s high-speed mobile network to one and a half dozen areas. 4G enables subscribers to make high-definition video calls and download/upload large-size files among other benefits.
Launching 4G in Sudurpashchim and Lumbini provinces aligns with the telco’s commitment to ensure its customers’ access to modern broadband connectivity. Likewise, the company has committed to further improve existing 4G services across Nepal with the necessary investment as per the need.

Ncell improves 4G in Sudurpashchim and Lumbini provinces
Ncell has improved the current 4G network in various localities in the Sudurpashchim and Lumbini provinces to enhance user experience. These areas are Belauri, Dhangadhi, Gauriganga, Ghodaghodi, Janaki, Krishnapur, and Lamkichuha in the Sudurpashchim Province. Notably, Ncell users will now get better signal coverage and higher speed in these areas, as per the operator. Undoubtedly, this will help users with day-to-day internet activities on their smartphones.
Similarly, the private telco also improved 4G in many areas in Lumbini Province. These include Butwal, Devdaha, Ghorahi, Lumbini Development Area, Narainapur, Omsatiya, Sainamaina, Siddarthnagar, Sunwal, Tilottama, and Tulsipur.
Ncell 4G from 2017 to date
Ncell launched 4G in Nepal in 2017 starting with Kathmandu on June 1. The operator became the first private entity to launch the next-generation cellular network in Nepal. To date, all 77 districts have been connected by Ncell’s fourth-generation mobile network. To illustrate, Ncell’s 4G coverage now covers 92.09% of Nepal’s total population as of mid-October 2023 with a 54.04% market share. Along with service launch and expansion Ncell also continuously upgrades 4G capacity in its towers across the country using spectrum like 1800MHz, 900 MHz and 2100 MHz. Ncell has played an instrumental role in uplifting mobile connectivity with modern services.
