Ncell starts VoWiFi service
Ncell formally launched the VoWiFi service after preparing for it in the previous months. The service lets Ncell users make calls by connecting their phone to a reliable WiFi connection. VoWiFi unlocks HD voice. It also provides clear audio and lets users pick up incoming calls and exchange SMS.
The service is more beneficial in areas where mobile networks are not available or the signal is poor. So, if you are in areas with poor cellular signal, or in houses or large buildings and basements, VoWiFi will be extremely useful.
The private telco launched the service a week after its competitor Nepal Telecom launched the VoWiFi service. Ncell says that the launch of its WiFi Calling service is part of its commitment to provide customers with high-quality telecom services.
Ncell VoWiFi compatible phones
Ncell VoWiFi is compatible with iPhone 8 and later iPhone models. But in the near future, more handsets will get support for this service.
Ncell says that Samsung, Xiaomi, OPPO, vivo, and other brands and models will also get WiFi Calling service very soon.

Like Ncell VoLTE needs 4G, Ncell VoWiFi requires a reliable WiFi signal. It provides users the benefit of the automatic network switch to WiFi when the cellular signal is weak. It benefits users at times when the mobile network signal is unstable and poor.
Tariff
You can use Ncell VoWiFi call as a regular service. It means there is no extra charge for using the WiFi Calling service in Ncell. You can use voice and SMS service over VoWiFi at no additional tariffs. Ncell says that its aim behind launching VoWiFi service is to let users enjoy the service without paying additional charges.
Ncell has extended its 4G network to cover 94% of the population. So, it will benefit both VoLTE and VoWiFi users.
How to use Ncell VoWiFi?
To use Ncell VoWiFi service, you need to activate both VoLTE and VoWiFi or Wifi Calling on your phones. Then, you need to go to your phone’s Settings>Mobile network>SIM card and select VoWiFi. If you now see a VoWiFi or WiFi Calling sign on your phone’s status bar, it means the service is active. The process is similar for both Android and iPhones.
If you are using a phone that currently don’t support Ncell VoWiFi, it should have the feature soon. We will continue to update more information on this page. Keep visiting the page for further information.
