Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA) is providing mobile and computer training for free. The telecom regulator is collaborating with CTEVT to offer skill-based training for interested individuals.
The program is offering a free training course in three different centers across Nepal.
The initiative comes as part of its next Fiscal Year 079/80 policies. NTA has just recently devised its plans and policies for the upcoming FY starting Shrawan 1st.
So far, the board of NTA has already passed the policies. However, it is yet to get approval from the Ministry of Communications, Information, and Technology (MoCIT). The ministry will make necessary amendments to the policy before allowing its implementation.
Despite the odds, NTA is going to start its free course of mobile and computer training. The list of programs in the FY 079/80 includes the training. So far we know that the regulator is going to start the free training course in three areas in Nepal. Also see: NTA To Monitor Mobile Service Quality With An Integrated System
A budget of 90 lakh has been allocated for the program. The objective is to educate people on technical education in rural areas.
Such training programs help reinforce digital manpower in the country and help them find employment.
NTA is partnering with CTEVT (Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training) for the training program.
NTA is the sole independent telecom regulator in Nepal responsible for everything relating to telecommunications. CTEVT is a popular and autonomous institution providing technical and vocational training to the youths in Nepal.
