Nepal Telecom (NTC) expanded its high-speed 4G network in Machhapuchchhre Base Camp (MBC) and Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) on Friday (June 21, 2024). The high-speed mobile connectivity now greatly benefits the tourists as well as the locals on the country’s two popular itineraries.
The government-backed company set up a new BTS tower in the Machhapuchhre (Machapuchre) Base Camp (MBC) on Annapurna Circuit in the Kaski district to start 4G service in the area.
Likewise, the 2G mobile service has been upgraded to 4G LTE in Deurali in the same area. Now, the locals in the very region too can enjoy Ntc’s high-speed 4G speeds on their devices.
The 4G network now brings reliable and consistent 4G speed for the locals and tourists. This also brings access to Ntc VoLTE service in the two tourist areas of the same ABC route. The service also lets locals and tourists get Ntc’s affordable data packs to enjoy connectivity during their adventures at such high elevations.
