Nepal Telecom (Ntc) has brought Migration offers for C-Phone (CDMA Fixed Phone) users who are migrating to 4G LTE services. The company has offered a range of migration offer: Internet and voice packages for its customers who are leaving the dated technology for newer-generation mobile technology.
Services such as WiMAX, CDMA, and other wireless technologies are being migrated to 4G LTE technology. Because of this, the user base of CDMA service has been on a declining trend globally. Likewise, Ntc has also shut down CDMA service in Nepal from FY 2079/80. As a result, subscribers to this technology have no option but to join Nepal’s telecom GSM and 4G network.
LTE 4G is the current most widely available technology and without further research and development, infrastructure production of CDMA is none.
In Nepal, 4G LTE service is expanding at a fast rate with a wide coverage and has drawn more mobile subscribers to it. So, Nepal Telecom has been offering different packages to encourage its CDMA C Phone subscribers to the 4G/GSM technology.
In a similar vein, the company has announced a new offer for its CDMA Fixed phone C-Phone users’ migration to 4G broadband service which is the Namaste Wifi packages with voice. The package comes into effect on Bhadra 01, 2080.

4G broadband Namaste WiFi packages for CDMA (C-Phone) users
CDMA Fixed Phone users can now use Namaste WiFi: 4G broadband packages with the migration offer. Ntc says that the current C-Phone users can choose from Unlimited Basic and Unlimited Premium Namaste WiFi packages for their communication needs.
Under the Unlimited Basic Package, users get a daily 10 GB of data at a 5 Mbps connection. The package costs Rs 5,999 and Rs 10,499 for installation for 6 months and 12 months respectively. Likewise, the packages cost Rs 4,999 and Rs 9,499 for renewals for 6 and 12 months respectively.
Likewise, the Unlimited Premium package includes 10 Mbps download speed and brings with it up to 15 GB of data. For installation, the package costs Rs 8,999 and Rs 16,499 for 6 and 12 months respectively. The same package costs Rs 7,999 and Rs 15,499 for 6 and 12 months renewals.
Migration offer of 4G broadband for CDMA C-Phone users | Data Volume | Installation/renewal (6 months) | Installation/renewal (12 months) |
Unlimited Basic (5 Mbps) | 10 GB | Rs 5,999/Rs 4,999 | Rs 10,499/Rs 9,499 |
Unlimited Premium (10 Mbps) | 15 GB | Rs 8,999/Rs 7,999 | Rs 16,499/Rs 15,499 |
Ntc says that customers who subscribe to either of these packages will get 4G LTE CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) free of cost.
Migration Voice Offers for CDMA Fixed phone: Unlimited calls and 10 GB add-on data
Subscribers of the 6-month package for the C Phone users will also get 400 minutes of on-net and 100 minutes of off-net talk time per month. Likewise, the annual subscribers will get unlimited on-net and 100 minutes of off-net voice service for a month. Remember Nepal Telecom uses VoLTE technology to offer voice service on the 4G router and you need to connect a telephone line with the router. The company adds that after the 10 GB or 15 GB data exhausts, users can continue browsing the internet by paying a small amount. To keep browsing data, you would have to pay Rs 50 which will add another 10 GB add-on pack for the next 24 hours. Check out: Ntc Announces All Net Voice Pack at Affordable Rates

The company has already been providing a “CDMA Migration Package” for its CDMA-GSM migrating customers. If the C-phone users prefer, they can also choose the existing offer (GSM SIM card) instead of the Namaste WiFi package. Under this scheme, the migrated prepaid GSM users will get monthly packages: 300 minutes of on-net voice, 4 GB of data, and 300 units of on-net SMS for 6 months.
Similarly, the postpaid users will get monthly packages: 400 minutes of on-net and 50 minutes of off-net voice, 6 GB data, and 200 units of on-net SMS for 6 months.
Ntc says it’s committed to following the global practice of replacing older-generation technologies with new and reliable ones. The company says that CDMA service has been put to rest since the end of Ashar 2080 BS.
