Poco F4 GT Overview
Poco F4 GT is the rebranded version of the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition. It is the successor to the Poco F3 GT that was launched in Nepal. The smartphone arrives with specs like a 120Hz AMOLED display, 64 MP triple cameras, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, 4700mAh battery, 120W fast charging, and more.
Design/Display
Starting off with the design of the smartphone, the design of the Poco F4 GT is very identical to that of the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition. The smartphone measures 162.5 x 76.7 x 8.5 mm in dimension and weighs only 210 gm. The phone will have a metallic frame and an AG Glass finish on the rear. The phone will be made available in different colors such as Black, Gray, Blue, and AMG.
Poco F4 GT features a 6.67 inches Full HD+ AMOLED Display along with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device also supports a 480Hz touch sampling rate, an aspect ratio of 20:9, 86.2% screen-to-body ratio, and 395 PPI density. There is also expected to be support for HDR10+, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, and a DCI-P3 color gamut. For biometrics, the phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and Ai Face Detection.
Camera
As for the optics of the smartphone, The Poco F4 GT flaunts a triple rear camera setup along with the fancy camera island and has an “X” shaped theme to it. The rear camera comprises a 64 MP Sony IMX686 main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens with 120-degree FoV, and a 2 MP macro sensor. On the front, it will pack a selfie camera of 20 MP for selfies & videos.
Talking about the videography aspect of the smartphone, the rear cameras are capable of recording videos up to 4K@30/60fps, 1080p@30/60/120fps, 720p@960fps. While the front camera records videos up to 1080p@30/60fps, and 720p@120fps.
Poco F4 GT Performance
Moving on to the internals of the smartphone, the Poco F4 GT is fueled with the latest flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. It is an octa-core processor based on 4 nm processing technology with four cores clocked at 1.79GHz, three cores with a clocked at speed of 2.60Ghz, and the last core clocked at 3.00GHz.
Coming to the memory configuration of the device, it will come with 8GB/12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB/256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage option. The performance is so smooth that you’ll have no problem in loading apps and games on your phone. On the software front, the Poco F4 GT runs on MIUI 13 based on Android 12 OS. The smartphone will also come with a dual second-generation stainless steel vapor chamber with a total area of 4,860mm². Just like the K50G, it is expected to have a graphene heat spreader.
