POCO M6 5G Price in Nepal
Here’s our quick look at the POCO M6 5G:
Quick POCO M6 5G Overview
While there are similarities, the design is consistent with POCO’s uniqueness. It’s something POCO fans will share. Besides, the device comes with satisfying performance, battery life, and versatility. You may have reservation about the cameras as mid-range lineups can’t stand against heavyweights but still produces nice photos for its range. In all, it’s a worthy phone to say the least.
Design and display
The POCO M6 5G comes in a dual-tone “Sky Dance” design. It shares a rectangular black bar with two cameras and a LED flash. The protruding cameras may not be everyone’s cup of tea however, it’s compensated with this ever-lovely design. Accompanying the two cameras setup is a POCO text hardwired on the same bar.
The phone sports gradient viewing when the light strikes the surface. Since the phone sports flat design at the sides, it should be much easier to hold the phone. But there’s no IP rating so it’s best to keep it from water and dust. The phone can also attract fingerprints regularly which might necessiate frequent cleaning. The phone has a plastic build which again is not what everyone prefers in the times of glass bodies. The device weighs 195 grams. POCO calls the M6 5G the most affordable 5G phone. Here, check out the list of other best 5G phones in Nepal.
In terms of the display, the POCO M6 5G features a 6.74-inch display with HD+ resolution. The panel is LCD, it’s not an AMOLED display. LCD panel gives lifelike colors instead of the vibrant ones on an AMOLED screen. There should be no problem in outdoor viewing. The screen on the device has a 90 Hz refresh rate which is another standard feature. The 3.5mm headphone jack is also available on this unit. There’s a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for a biometrics security.
Cameras
The POCO M6 5G comes in a dual-camera setup with a 50MP AI primary sensor accompanied by a 2MP depth unit. The front camera is an 5MP selfie shooter. The cameras offer decent snaps for the price but you won’t get extremely rich detail in photography as with the flagship phones there are. Still daylight photography is good while low-light conditions won’t bring in the most amazing results. The night mode comes in handy though in reducing the noise. The selfie camera clicks good photos. It can be used without an issue for video chats too.
Performance, storage, and software
The POCO M6 5G is backed by MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC the same that goes under the hood of the Redmi 13C. The chipset is paired with an ARM Mali-G57 GPU. All day-to-day operations will flow smoothly and you can also use a few apps simultaneously. This is complemented by the basic RAM of 4 GB while 6 GB and 8 GB RAM options are also available. Again talking of the chipset, the Dimensity 6100+ scored 428k in Anututu benchmark which is very very good in this price range and it’s redefining the 5G price for a phone.
For storage, the device gets 128 GB of ROM while there is an option for a 256 GB variant. Additionally, you can expand the storage up to 1 TB via microSD card. On the software front, you get the latest MIUI 14 based on Android 13.
Battery and charging
A good battery life is one of the primary needs of any smartphone and in this department, POCO is spot on. The POCO M6 5G comes with a large and rather regular 5,000 mAh battery which should see you at least a day of phone use on moderate use. And despite being an entry-level device, it supports an 18W fast charging which can charge the device to 100% in 90 minutes. However, POCO is shipping the model with a 10W fast charger in the box which takes around 2 hours to fill up the juice.

Our verdict
The POCO M6 5G is an entry-level smartphone. So, it’s not the most ideal option for those who want a phone for gaming, regular multi-task and use for work. But if you want a unit for the basic tasks and won’t want to bother with running apps, notifications and all those standard smartphone things, it’s for you. Have you heard of the digital detox?
If you are planning on coughing up some for a new budget device, just a few more bucks would give you POCO M6 Pro or Redmi 13C with similar specification but there are other midrange phones under Rs 30,000 and under Rs 20,000 to choose from. But we are not negating POCO M6 5G by any stretch. It can handle all the basic tasks and social media browsing and it’s the most affordable 5G phone at the moment. It can also take good snaps just that the options are so many that recommendation is difficult. But the unique POCO design profile may easily justify purchasing this budget-friendly smartphone.
