Realme launched the new smartphone Realme X7 Max 5G a few days ago in India. The premium mid-range smartphone is said to be arriving in Nepal very soon. Realme X7 Max 5G Overview
The smartphone is the rebatched version of the Realme GT Neo, which was launched earlier this year in China. The smartphone boasts a Super AMOLED screen, a 120Hz refresh rate, MediaTek’s Dimensity 1200 chipset, 50W Fast charging support, and many more features.
Design and Display
Starting off with the design of the smartphone, Realme X7 Max 5G comes with a unique design that differs from that of the M3. It has a Glass front, plastic frame, and plastic back. It comes with a matte finish on one side and has a glossy finish on the other end. The handset measures 158.5 x 73.3 x 8.4mm and weighs only 179 grams. There’s also a left-aligned punch-hole cutout that houses a selfie camera at the front.
Realme X7 Max 5G has a large 6.43 inches Full HD+ Super AMOLED display along with a screen resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and an impressive 120Hz refresh rate. It also has an aspect ratio of 20:9, 91.7% screen-to-body ratio, 100 percent DCI-P3 wide color gamut, 409 PPi, a 360Hz touch sampling rate, and up to 1000 nits of peak brightness. The smartphone has Dragontrail Glass for Protection.
Optical Department
As for the optical features of the Realme X7 Max 5G, the smartphone flaunts a triple rear camera setup with a vertical rectangular camera module on the back. It includes a 64 MP primary Sony IMX682 sensor with f/1.8 aperture, 8 MP Ultra Wide-angle Lens with f/2.3 aperture & 119° Field OF View (FOV), and a 2 MP macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture along with 4cm Focus Distance.
On the front, the smartphone houses a 16 MP Selfie camera with an f/2.5 aperture that snaps beautiful selfies. Now, talking about the videography aspect of the device, it can record videos up to up to 4K@30/60fps, 1080p@30/60/480fps, gyro-EIS at the rear, and up to 1080p@30fps at the front.
MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC
Under the hood, Realme X7 Max 5G is equipped with the powerful flagship MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset. It is an octa-core processor based on TSMC’s 6 nm process that comes with 1x 3.0GHz Cortex-A78 & 3 x2.6GHz Cortex-A78 & 4 x2.0GHz Cortex-A55. As for graphics, the chipset uses a Mali-G77 MC9 GPU. Compared to its predecessor, the SoC offers up to 22 percent faster CPU performance and a 25 percent increase in power efficiency.
It is coupled with 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and comes with 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage option. The phone also uses a new structure of vapor chamber cooling system. It has Stainless Steel Vapour Cooling Next-gen Steel-copper Composite Structure and also reduces peak core temperature by 15 degrees celsius. On the software front, the Realme X7 Max 5G runs on Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11.
Battery and Others
Fueling the Realme X7 Max 5G is a large 4,500 mAh battery. The phone also comes with the support for 50W fast charging. The brand claims that the smartphone takes only 16 minutes to charge from 0 to 50 %. It charges via the Type-C port at the bottom.
Talking about the connectivity options of the Realme X7 Max 5G, it features a 5G network, Dual SIM slot, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth 5.1, A2DP, LE, aptX HD, GPS, dual-band A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO, QZSS, IR blaster, NFC, USB Type-C 2.0, USB On-The-Go, dual-stereo speakers, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Realme X7 Max 5G is expected to be priced around Rs. 44,999 in Nepal for the base variant if it launches here.
