Actually, the brand has both Global and Indian Variants of its premium mid-range smartphone Redmi Note 10 Pro. Both variants differ in terms of their camera specs whereas the global version of Redmi Note 10 Pro with higher camera spec is also called Redmi Note 10 Pro Max in India.
Redmi Note 10 Pro Overview
Redmi Note 10 Pro is the successor to the Redmi Note 9 Pro that was introduced a year back. The smartphone comes loaded with almost similar specs and features as that of the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max.
Design & Display
All of the Redmi Note 10 series come with the almost same design. The brand calls it an “Evol design”. The smartphone has a glass back and houses a rectangular camera module at the rear. Similarly, it has a 2.96mm punch-hole cut-out that houses the 16 MP selfie camera on the front. The device also features IP53, dust, and splash protection. It also has a flat design and a Side-mounted Fingerprint Scanner. The phone weighs only 192 grams.
Redmi Note 10 Pro sports the same 6.67-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED panel with a 120HZ refresh rate and the HDR10 certification. It also has a screen resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, 45000000:1 contrast ratio, a peak brightness of 1200 nits, TÜV Rheinland certification for low blue light emission, and supports Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Redmi Note 10 Pro Optics
Moving on to the Optics of the smartphone, Redmi Note 10 Pro only differs from the global variant in terms of camera. The smartphone flaunts a quad-camera setup with a rectangular camera module at the rear. The global version of the Redmi Note 10 Pro has a primary camera of 108 MP, f/1.9 aperture, 9 in 1 Super Pixel, 6P, 1/1.52″, 0.7µm, dual pixel PDAF. Other sensors in the phone include n 8 MP 118° Ultra-wide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, a 5 MP macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2 MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture.
Whereas the Redmi Note 10 Pro (Indian Variant) has a 64 MP Samsung GW3 sensor primary sensor with f/1.9 aperture, while the other three cameras remain the same.
On the front, the device arrives with a 16 MP In-Display camera with an f/2.45 aperture to snap beautiful selfies. Likewise, the smartphone can record up to 4K@30fps, 1080p@30/60/120fps, 720p@960fps at the rear, and the front camera is capable of shooting videos up to 1080p/720p@30fps. It comes with some interesting features such as HDR, Night Mode 2.0, Magic Clone Photos, Long Exposure, Panorama, Short Video, Slow motion, etc.
Snapdragon 732G SoC
Under the hood, Redmi Note 10 Pro is equipped with the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G chipset that also powered the Poco X3. It is an octa-core 8 nm-based gaming-centric processor coupled with the Adreno 612 GPU. It would have been better if we got 5G connectivity. Nevertheless, the chipset still rocks. In terms of memory configuration, the phone has three memory configurations: 6GB/64GB, 6GB/128GB, and 8GB/128GB. They use LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. So, one can expand their storage via the dedicated microSD card slot if one feels the need for it.
On the software front, it runs on MIUI 12 based on Android 11.
4G bands
Coming over to 4G bands, the RN10 Pro global version supports band 3 (that is there with all three mobile operators) and band 20 (that is only available with Nepal Telecom). Further, you can check why Nepal Telecom operated 4G in band 20 (800 MHz) and their recommendation.
Battery and Connectivity
Redmi Note 10 Pro is fueled with the same gigantic 5,020mAh Li-Polymer Battery same as that of the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max. Likewise, the device comes with a 33 W fast charging support and a USB Type-C reversible connector port to juice up the phone. It only takes 75 minutes to charge the phone up to 100%.
Connectivity options of the Redmi Note 10 Pro include Dual SIM slot, 4G, VoLTE, VoWiFi, dual-band WiFi, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, AGPS, Glonass, Beidou, IR blaster, USB Type-C port, IP52-certification for splash resistance, self-cleaning dual stereo speakers, dual microphones, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Regarding network support, the phone misses out on 5G unlike its competitors Mi 10i, Realme GT has it.
