Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy A55 5G smartphone in Nepal along with the Galaxy A35 5G. The Galaxy A55 5G is a premium-tier budget smartphone with a compact screen, eSIM, 5G, and a large battery. The device competes with the recently launched OnePlus 12R and Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus 5G and other devices in its range. The mid-range to upper-mid-range market is full of excitement and contest thanks to their aggressive specifications and appeal. Samsung mobile phones are a household name in Nepal for their offerings in various price ranges. From budget to high-end devices like the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, the South Korean brand continues to have a profound influence in the market. This time, Samsung launched Galaxy A55 5G in Nepal.

Noticeably, the device comes with a 6.6-inch screen backed by the Super AMOLED display technology. Samsung has packed 390 PPI on the device for its 85.8% screen-to-body ratio. Further, the display peaks brightness at 1,000 nits. The device’s glass is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+ on the front and by Gorilla Glass on the back. The frame is made of aluminum.

With its in-display fingerprint scanner, and posh design following a minimalistic body profile, the device boasts a crisp and satisfying look. Our verdict

The Galaxy A55 5G mixes some decent specifications with the upper-midrange price. The device can connect with 5G, and WiFi 6. It is made of glass back and front which gets protection from Gorilla Glass Victus + and regular Gorilla Glass while the frames are made of aluminum. The main camera with OIS, a large, battery, are other likable features. With eSIM, in-display fingerprint sensor, and IP67 the device makes for a compelling pick for smartphone buyers. A quibble could be the absence of the Galaxy AI but that’s available to only a handful of Samsung phones.

However, the competition is high for the device. OnePlus 12R, Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus 5G, Realme 11 Pro Plus, and Honor 90 5G are some other devices that come in this price range. The preference is always subjective, and rest assured the Galaxy A55 5G will be a hot pick in its own right.
