Samsung Galaxy F13 vs Redmi Note 11, both are midrange offerings from rival companies. Redmi Note 11 has been here for a while already while Samsung F13 landed just some days ago. Samsung comes with a homegrown Exynos 850 chip, can it beat the Snapdragon 680 of Redmi Note 11? What about the LCD vs AMOLED display? Let’s find out which phone is better in our Samsung Galaxy F13 vs Redmi Note 11 article.
Samsung Galaxy F13 vs Redmi Note 11 Design & Display
Beginning with the design, Samsung Galaxy F13 boasts a glass front with a teardrop design and a plastic back with a matte finish. Redmi Note 11 sports a punch-hole panel on the front, an aluminum frame, and plastic back. Here, the punch hole panel on Redmi is clearly better than the traditional teardrop notch of the Samsung F13. Also, the Redmi’s boxy frame design is comfortable to hold. Both devices have a rectangular camera module on the back.
Now coming to the display, Samsung F13 houses a full HD+ LCD panel with no fast refresh rate. It is a 6.6-inch panel with 480 nits brightness. On Redmi Note 11, there is a 6.43-inch AMOLED panel with Full HD+ resolution and 90Hz fast refresh rate. As an AMOLED screen, it has a peak brightness of 1000 nits. The display crown straightly goes for Redmi Note 11 with better screen quality and sunlight readability. Here, Samsung’s LCD panel becomes no match with no fast refresh rate. But Samsung has provided Gorilla Glass 5 protection while Redmi has settled with Gorilla Glass 3 for display.
Performance
Talking about performance, both phones are featuring different chipsets here. Samsung F13 packs in its native Exynos 850 chipset while Redmi Note 11 goes for a Snapdragon 680 chipset. Both being 4G silicon, Exynos 850 is based on an 8nm architecture while Snapdragon 680 is manufactured on a 6nm architecture. As per benchmarks, both silicon doesn’t have a huge margin in terms of performance. So, both phones should perform in a similar manner but battery efficiency will be better on Redmi Note 11 having a 6nm chip as compared to 8nm on Samsung F13.

Moving to the OS, Samsung Galaxy F13 is running on OneUI4.1 Core built on top of Android 12. Redmi Note 11 boots on MIUI 13 based on Android 11. OneUI has become one of the best skin with stability and security. On the other hand, MIUI is a feature-rich UI with customization and features. So, this becomes a personal choice to choose one between two. Samsung F13 is providing Android 12 out of the box which is a good thing.
Camera
There is a triple camera setup on Samsung F13 while Redmi Note 11 has a quad-camera setup. The primary sensor is 50MP resolution on both phones with an f1.8 aperture. Both phones can shoot up to 1080p at 30fps for videos. But picture output will be of more or less the same quality on both devices. The difference appears on ultrawide cameras. Samsung has housed a 5MP ultrawide unit with an f/2.2 aperture while Redmi has equipped an 8MP one with the same aperture. Here, Redmi’s 8MP ultrawide camera ensures better picture quality than that of the 5MP sensor on Samsung.
There is a 2MP macro + 2 MP depth camera on Redmi while Samsung only has a 2MP depth unit. Coming to the selfie camera, the Samsung Galaxy F13 sports an 8MP unit on the front with an f/2.2 aperture. Meanwhile, Redmi Note 11 has a 13MP selfie camera with an f/2.4 aperture. Due to a higher res, the front camera should be a bit better on Redmi than on Samsung. Video-wise, both can capture up to 1080p at 30fps.
Battery and Charging
Samsung F13 only has a 6000mAh battery with the support of 15W fast charging while Redmi Note 11 has a much better 33W fast charging support for its 5000mAh cell. Hence, Redmi takes an easy lead here with a faster charger in the box as the 6000mAh of Samsung will take a long time to get fully charged by its 15W charger.
Pricing and Availability
Samsung Galaxy F13 retails at Rs.23,999 for the sole launched 4/128GB variant. While Redmi Note 11 starts at Rs.22,999 with a 4/64GB variant. The 4/128GB variant costs Rs.24,999 and the 6/128GB is priced at Rs.26,999. So comparing the 4/128GB variants, Samsung F13 is cheaper by 1000 rupees. Both devices are available across offline and online channels in Nepal

Samsung Galaxy F13 vs Redmi Note 11, Which One is a Better Buy?
Pointing to the display quality and refresh rate, Redmi Note 11 is a no-brainer with a superior display (AMOLED) and 90Hz refresh rate. Samsung F13’s LCD panel is not bad but an AMOLED panel is always better with deep blacks, vibrant colors, and amazing contrast quality while watching content. Also, the design of the Redmi Note 11 is better on the front with a punch-hole cutout screen than the old-school teardrop design of the Samsung F13.
Performance-wise, both have similarly performing 4G chipset; Exynos 850 and Snapdragon 680. Day-to-day activities like scrolling and switching through social media, and light gaming should be good on both phones. But the 90Hz refresh rate is enhancing the scrolling experience on Redmi Note 11 which the Samsung F13 lacks. Rest apart, there is no day and night difference in terms of performance. But yeah, battery efficiency is going to be better on Redmi due to the 6nm chip.
With optics, both have a 50MP main unit, so the picture quality shouldn’t be of huge difference. Still, the OIS will aid in capturing moving subjects efficiently. For videos, both can only do up to 1080p at 30fps. The 8MP ultrawide camera of Redmi beats the 5MP unit of Samsung. On the front camera department, Redmi Note 11 is better with a 13MP selfie cam as compared to the 8MP on Samsung F13.
Rest apart, both phones have dual sim plus microSD card expansion support with dedicated slots. Both have side-mounted fingerprint scanners too. But Samsung doesn’t have a dual stereo speaker setup while Redmi Note 11 does. So, the multimedia experience is much better on Redmi due to the AMOLED panel and stereo speaker setup. Also, the 33W fast charger on Redmi is a lot better than the 15W fast charger of Samsung.
Hence, Redmi Note 11 seems a better buy here with a better display, ultrawide camera, stereo speaker setup, etc. Samsung F13 is also okay to buy but Redmi Note 11 is an overall winner in the price segment with better specs.
