The brand has launched the new version of the popular Galaxy M21 smartphone dubbed as Samsung Galaxy M21 2021 Edition. The smartphone might come to Nepal too. The Samsung Galaxy M21 2021 Edition is the successor to the same smartphone dubbed as Galaxy M21 that was launched a year back in Nepal. The mid-range smartphone boasts specs and features such as Exynos 9611 chipset, FHD+ sAMOLED display, 6000mAh battery, and more.
Design/Display
Looking at the design of the smartphone, it is similar to Galaxy M21 but also arrives with few changes. The brand comes with a new design at the rear. It has diagonal lines and has a pill-shaped camera module that houses two cameras and a small circular ring enclosing the third lens. The device has a plastic body. Samsung Galaxy M21 2021 Edition has an Infinity-U notch that houses the selfie camera at the front.
Samsung Galaxy M21 2021 Edition sports a stunning 6.4 inches (16.21 cm) Full HD+ Infinity U Super AMOLED display along with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a 60Hz refresh rate for an immersive viewing experience. Talking about the optical department of the device, Samsung Galaxy M21 2021 Edition flaunts a triple camera setup at the rear. The smartphone comes with an upgraded camera sensor. It consists of a 48 MP Samsung GM2 primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture & 123° Field Of View (FOV), and a 5 MP depth sensor with an f/2.2 aperture. It will be available in two different color variants – Arctic Blue and Charcoal Black. The smartphone is expected to be priced around Rs. 20,999 for the base variant in Nepal. Our Verdict
The smartphone boasts a powerful Exynos 9611 SoC, FHD+ sAMOLED display, upgraded 44 MP rear primary cameras, large 6000mAh battery, and more. But the thing is the smartphone does not come with considerable improvement in the table, it is almost identical to its predecessor. So, it makes me question, was there really a need for this new edition? Don’t make a mistake though it is a very impressive mid-range smartphone in this price segment.
